I would like the game even more, if I had the possibility to block more than current 1 to 2 maps, because there are several that I don't like.

This is an issue for me, because I have limited time to play and when I do have time for few battles it annoys me when I'm put to a map that I really hate.

It would help if the number of maps to block could be even doubled to max 4 so I could get permanently rid of Airfield, El Halluf, Glacier and Pearl River.

I wouldn't mind if even more blocking options would be implemented, but doubling current would be a good start to help me to enjoy my time all the more with this beloved game of ours...

Buy Platinum Time at WG shop, at merely 500 euros per month.

( other benefits may be included )

Sure, it would be bit more fun to play on maps you like. Can you although understand the problem more blocked maps would cause? There are consequences if HT players would be allowed to ban more open maps for example.

I would like to propose, that banning one map, will not just ban in his mode, but in the other game-modes too!

Banning Berlin in randoms, only to get it in Encounter again is pretty dumb.

4? Issue then is that even with a 4-hour lock on each one. you can block maps based on the class you play more easily. No urban maps with arty, no open maps when you play super heavies etc. So you can argue you can rig the MM more with that many.

Then again 1 or 2 that most have now might seem a tad on the low side.

Yes please! I would even pay extra for that. And as others have said I'd like for encounter and assault modes to also be blocked,

With all the new disastrous map getting released, banning 1 (or 2) maps is just not enough. Adding more "ban" slots would be really great.

More ban slots can't really fix the number of terrible maps. Even with 6 ban slots, you'd still not be able to compensate enough. There are just too many maps that either suck too much, or fail to provide one or more vehicle classes with the freedom to actually play their role. You would need a ban system that allows each vehicle class to select 6 to even get close to banning all the ones you need.

But after 18 thousand battles, arent you one of the few skilled players who know how to play all the maps and make the most of the tank you are playing?

On a serious note though, every option you add for people to exclude elements of the matchmaking for personal reasons, you increase the length of queue times. Same goes for a no arty or ebr switch.

I would just wish WG would make more actual good maps, since there's very few of em' in the game.

And fix the broken ones of course. And just remove the unfixable ones.

Maybe they could reverse the mechanism and make it a two-slot "maps I DON'T want to ban" instead.

Thank you for your confidence ;) but no I'm not one of those skilled players who know how to play all maps, and that is exactly why I would want to exclude more maps I just don't WANT to play on.

I'm aware of the fact that queuing time would extend in that scenario, but I'm willing to queue few minutes more to avoid 10 minutes of agony.

Also you don't have to exclude so many maps if you prefer shorter queuing time to possibility to block more maps...

That would be the dream solution to the severe map problem we have, but not quite likely to happen anytime soon I'm afraid.

I would love to ban the corridor map design that WG started to implement a fiew years ago.

Fiery Salient was the last proper WoT map. Current Prokhorovka is much worse.

And people have no ideea how to play open maps anymore.

Nor does WG know how to design a decent open map anymore.

Maps like Swamp and Komarin were much better than the horrible Studzianki for example.

And they even wrecked some maps that were really good.

Erlenberg and Fisherman's Bay were my favourite maps for example and now they both crap.

Remember how on Erlenberg you could actually play the whole map? :)

Currently Erlenberg is a corridor city fight + OP camping spots + huge areas where you can die.

Map was much better designed before, with tons of positions to use and flex around.

old earlneberg was horrendous, the new version works brilliant on assault and is playable on standard, the middle section is alright and I like going to the castle now for flanking

We should be able to block 2-3 maps PER tank class.
Let's say you start your session playing Maus you wanna have a specific types of maps banned and then you continue your session playing scout then you would to have other maps blocked.
So instead you stop playing, because the cool down for switching maps are 4 hours.
WG didn't really think that part through.
ALSO having the map you blocked showing up in encounter AND Assault is really poor design.

I rather have that I can set which map each of my tanks can battle on.

I always considered that the current map design aims to simplify the positions and the maps so they are more accommodating to less proficient players. :P
