So now APCR looks like AP from afar. You really gotta look at it to notice the difference.
Whose bright idea was it to put red stripes on the ribbon behind the shell? Oh yeah, that's totally different than AP's red background.
Wasn't it always just black? Color coding, it's so simple.
AP, red, standard damaging shell.
APCR, silver, a silver bullet, super fast. (shell is silver, visible enough against a dark background, stands for itself)
HEAT, yellow, hot like fire, goes through thick armor. (now with a red stripe too?...why?)
HE, orange, explodey kaboomy-bang ammo.
HESH, same as HE? Okay...really?
How come you don't think of these things? Seriously, every time there's some UI update, it's always worse. It's not limited to just this game, either. Twitter recently changed the way retweets work, for example...and it's now less intuitive. The minimap blips are a different story entirely...
You gotta make these things clearly distinguishable from one another. If you're gonna use two colors, use ones from opposite ends of the spectrum. Damn.
Man, as soon as I log on, just to play a bit of Ranked, I immediately find something to complain about...shoulda stayed away.
