Day 1: Played some tier 1 and some tier 2, won some lost some, good and fun

Day 2: More experienced with the more, player only tier 2, won most, good and fun

Day 3: More tier 2, lost all but one out of 5 games I think, rest were too hard to carry

Day 4: Playing tier 1 just to get mission progress (although it didn't seem to change on my only win?), won first, lost second because everyone else just went all over the place and I'm the only one close to magus at end with most others dead. And now this:

I did more than 90% of the work in phase 1 on my own, 3 ppl in team drove on the other side of the map with the light only just popping into radar when counter reached 0, the only player to stick with me heading towards magus decided it was better to go hunt a straggler with 20 seconds remaining. I fail to see how this can ever be fun when the other 80% of your team can't even do 10% of the work...

I mean sure, random teams, but surely the MM could atleast put people who don't even grasp the rather simple mechanics 4 days in a queue of their own or something.

Yeah, I simply don't bother with game modes where teamwork is essential to success.

So you don't play Randoms either?

Beats me why anyone bothers to play missions

Though it's nice when it happens, teamwork isn't essential to victory in randoms, as anyone who's played randoms will know.

The less players on your side, the more important teamwork is, especially when a short time limit is thrown into the mix.

Don't play level 1...

First day I won 1 out of 7 games with randoms... It took me 2 days to get to level 2. Today I won 3/5 at the highest difficulty and the two lost games we got to phase 4. Maybe I got lucky but it feels like quality of gameplay improved dramatically with increased difficulty. Also, you get better rewards even if you lose compared to level 1. I even started using emergency kit for 20k credits because you won't loose credits unless you fail phase 1.

Tbh, level 3 is even easier than level 1 because you get way more Mirium so it's not hard to bring 30-40% of what you need to the next phase. Both have better tanks but they are still bots - their AI is the same and can be exploited. You have to pay attention to Hedgehogs but if you do, it's just free mirium coming straight to you for free...

As FatigueGalaxy already mentioned - don't play at * difficulty. Everyone who played from day one and now knows what to do - they are all at ** and ***. If you play at the easiest difficulty you will be matched witch such... creatures...

Also, if you play in the evening then join any of mode-related chat channels - there is a bunch of people forming toons to make runs at the higher difficulties. And this mode is so much more fun in 5-man toon

Totally agree, it also takes one person to make decisions and everyone who wants a serious shot at progressing follows suit. I played a few games with random guys and was just pointing to where i was going and they mostly followed and supported. Sure there was that odd dude who went off by himself and got himself killed but at difficulty 2 or 3 thats more rare. Also if you find someone else making calls that make sense just follow the pack. This mode is all about sticking together, whether you play in a platoon or not.

When your team scatters over the map before the collector icon appears on the map you pretty much know how its going to pan out.

I am useless at making these pings. But I follow path of the pings or are already on that track as they tend to be the same as what I set out for myself. Yesterday I've had pretty much hood games... Considering. Always make it to stage 4 (** diff) regretfully lost many games then, maybe the enemies simply started to overmatch us, getting some bad luck, and at least some games were plagued with horrendous spawn locations for the Magnus... Anyways... Its comparatively more fun because at least people seem to know what they are doing. Now making it to the final stretch.

All in all positive experience and a fun time. If only they didn't put that stupid server rest-reset time thing...

Played it yesterday out of morbid curiosity

this event seem to bring out the dregs of humanity pond life as i like to call them!

cant see the point to be honest and still don't even  know what the prizes are some skins that look revolting for tanks I do not own and have no desire to own anyway?

As I said before this event, its like climbing mount Everest with a piano tied to your back for a peanut as a reward!

The old one with the Tier 6 soviet thing was far better

Pretty much the same experience here, day 1 was ok, day 2 at tier2 was great (won all battles), Weds & Thurs were terrible, can only assume the clowns managed to fail their way to tier2 and that's where they now all sit.

The T49 derp is a great laugh, almost have the T54 but pretty pointless when at stage 2 at tier2, 2 of your team are already dead because they cannot read the mini map.

Just maddening to watch tanks go off solo game after game, the most basic concept of sticking together seems to be beyond most of the player base, depressing to see.

TB.

Haha.

Actually you were lucky.

Most of my games were like your last ones.

So obviously I am not fun of this game mode.

The only exception if a platoon of five player with good communication plays. That is fun.

They could had took this approach for random battles form the beginning and they don't so what makes you think that in this instance it would be more special?

Very bad game mode. No time to win. Only a waste of time. Always loss, annoying as hell.

Every teamwork dependent game mode is totally unplayable with this player base.

This was the same with the waffentrager mode too. No time to win.

Played it twice. Seems boring. Grindfest for low rewards.
