Hello fellow tankists, 

I would like to ask you about your opinion on comparsion of those two TDs in 2020. I knew you would probably write me to not to research them, but I am kinda masochistic and I would like to go this way on X tier. I am really keen on your personal experience with those vehicles, some pros (+) and cons (-) and any other usefull stuff.

It really depends on your style. Some people thinks the Jagdpanther 2 is the better tank, some people the Ferdinand. 

Jagdpanther 2 has a huge advantage on mobility over the Ferdinand, while the Ferdinand has a slight advantage on armor to the Jagdpanther 2.

 

I personally prefer the Jagdpanther 2 as the extra mobility is so important to me, the ability to relocate and not get out-flanked by the enemy.

But you can go for the Ferdinan if you enjoy a tank that is very slow, but have a little bit of armor. It has the hull of the Tiger (P), and the effective frontal armor on the superstructure is around 200mm.

Isn't the Jagdpanther 2 a collector vehicle now? I mean it doesn't research anything in the tech tree anymore. You just need to unlock any other German tier 8 tank then you can buy the JP 2 from the collector vehicles tab and play it. If you want to unlock the JagdTiger and the Jagdpanzer E100, you need to play the Ferdi.
