Seems a very rare outcome. AMX doesn't have amor at all, it's made of paper.

There is no requirement to block damage to get steel wall.

Take 11 hits with a potential damage of at least 1k dmg and survive and you got a chance to get one.

 

But yeah problably not the most common medal for the 50 120

Yes, there is: you must block those hits. And that's normally precise the problem with this paper tank.

Where does it say that? The in game descripiton is: "Recieve the highest damage blocked by armor. -Survive the battle, -Recieve at least 11 hits, -The amount of damage recieved and blocked by armor must be at least 1000 hp, -Can be obtained in random battles only".

 

And the "Recieve the highest damage blocked by armor." is the description of the achievement, not a requirement.

Wiki entry linked, blocking the shots is not a requirement; you can tank with your HP. Still, not very common in the 50 120, as you say. GJ!
