After getting consistently 25-35% Winrate in ranked battles I stopped playing it in this season. And today I just played 9 matches and 8 losses. But still managed to end up with one plus chevron. I checked the leaderboard. 5k-6k rated players are enjoying their first league stats but I stucked at second divison just because I keep getting unbalanced teams and loss streaks. My total WR in this ranked battle season is certainly below 35% WR.

Nice implementing "ranked" mode Wargaming. I am enjoying it. But be sure that your system doesn't reflect my game skill. This mode is not "ranked". Just totally based on getting lucky teams.

You're actually currently sitting at 46,32% winrate, with actually a rather good performance (1,9k + 900 damages). Quick conclusion is that you've been slightly unlucky and have to take a break and continue a bit later. There's still 2 weeks left, I personally did my grind last time in the last week/days and it was perfectly fine, no hurry. But blaming teams or WG is not the right path to take though.

In Div 2 you need to already start to actually pay attention to what you and your team does, and try to survive as long as you can. This doesn't mean camping and just surviving but rather don't do anything stupid or too aggressive if you're not sure about it. Aggressive can of course work but if you don't know what you're doing and if you're not taking a calculated risk, you're just relying on luck and that's not good idea. The fact is that you're sitting at 28,13% survival rate, so out of 96 battles (44 wins) you've only survived 27 battles. In randoms you have a decent 34,6% survival rate, so at least aim to rise your RB one to over 30% and you should start doing better. In last season you had even worse winrate and survival rates, and consequently even worse chevron rate. At least you've improved so keep at it.

Last season I got really 16 losses in a row. So last 6-7 matches of them were rage play by me and stopped playing it in Divison 2. That's why it was much worse than that. Thanks for info btw and detailed answer. But I won't give it a shot anyway.

I also went and checked the leaderboard, lo and behold the top player is of course a rather suspicious one. 46% winrate and #1 in ranked... There's a few same kind of players in first page alone...

The problem with ranked is that skill is only reflected in long term in this game, while ranked rewards and punishes you short term.

Everyone can have a streak of wins or losses, no matter how good they are.

This causes ranked to become insanely frustrating, because having bad luck simply keeps punishing you.

If you're a decent player, playing ranked actively enough through the 3 weeks will definitely give you progress.

But it's the frustrating punishment for getting a streak of bad teams that causes everyone to lose motivation.

I look forward to hearing how when you next win some games it wasn't a reflection of your skill but because WG gave you teams imbalanced in your favour.

Yes unfortunately having personal progression system that is heavily impacted by short term luck with teams loss or win streaks is a fundamentally flawed concept.

Yeh that is the main issue, we all know that personal skill will be reflected in win rate over time and enough battles, but sometimes that can take even 100s of games (I am sure we all have those tanks with 100+ games where we have played well but the win rate doesn't reflect your performance) and having your progress stalled or set back makes the mode incredibly frustrating.

It's doubly compounded by the fact that luck with teams in qualification determines the number of bonus battles you get, which means it then impact all your later performance in divisions because more bonus battles = faster progression and higher chevron rate = even more bonus battles for the next division. Plus qualification doesn't even have the rudimentary sorting of playing with people who have progressed to the same ranks, so its just basically 20 games of randoms, full of terrible players, often who don't even play tier 10 that much.

Get lucky with teams in qualification and your progress through the divisions is going to be so much easier.

Game with 15 players in a team - personal ladder -

WoT's ranked is a stupidest gamemode ever.

Ended up with 1 win in 9 matches. LOL. I take a long break from the game.

At the least they could have reduced the team size, like WOWs did with their ranked, so personal performance had a bit more impact. Like 10 v 10.

funnily enough I just posted in the announcements thread that it would be nice for a season to be 7 v 7

Yes, they should have done that.

7v7

And maybe with tank bans/picks phase like in any MOBA games.

Very few of them were just lucky carried by RNG.

Some of them actually learrned the game (their recents should be unicum/blunicum level but their overall will take AGES to catch up).

Some of them had a blunicum/unicum friend/relative play their account.

Some of them BOUGHT ONLINE SERVICES to get boosted.

Its not rocket science and its not anything weird.

Ranked is about Chevrons, getting them and not losing them.

If you guys think about winning the game in Ranked... you're doing it wrong! :P

At least you got a Tier 10 tank, I've yet to have one!

I have hidden a number of posts that contain references to the promotion of play in violation of game rules.

I am also considering closing this thread as what started as a 'valid' observation by the OP has become non-constructive in a very true sense of the word. For the moment, it can stay.

Very easy to explain, he bought a booster-service and paid for some unicum-scum to play his account. :bajan: Take a look at the stats of a lot of the 279 owners out there: 85% have bought their 279 in a similar manner.

Ye, just go like 7v7 or 8v8 or something along those lines, and then just make all winners gain x chevrons and top 1 gain x+1 chevrons. All loser loses x chevrons.

Then I would definitely try it out.

This indeed is the way to go for, not a copy from another game. Make losing team all lose same amount of chevrons while rewarding the best players of the winning team with more and worst performers of winning team with nothing. If top of the losing team would lose less chevrons, we'd again be in the same point as now.

I don't although agree on the 7v7 as that's just simply too small team size as experience from the brawl mode previously has shown me. 10v10, 12v12, those would sound more suited.
