Well we have a customizable section for the tanks already in game but it lacks lots of the best styles that has been offered in various events and in particular 3D styles.

It is in my opinion time to make these available for purchase. Sure some of the most exclusive ones can be reserved for certain achievements but otherwise this could be a very good source for income for WG (if fair prices) and most players like to have cool styles for their tanks. The more the better. The possibilities here are huge.

Sure some styles will sell crap due to overpriced or bad design (T10 patton ...) or sell alot just for cool design. Dont you already have alot of styles ready to be released WG ?

I suspect when you sell them now and then. Like during Xmas. You sell more of them as more think it might be longer until next time. Vs when you have it available all the time and people wait for a "sale". Thus why most things are only sold during events.

Then again, considering how few 3d styles sold during the first BM. The price needs to drop first if they have them on permanently tbh.

I definately think that is a good idea. Personaly I dont care about these skins but I am pretty sure a lot of players do, and sure would like more 3d styles. And would be willing to pay for them for their favourite tanks.

If the skins would be reasonably priced (like 5 euros for 2d and 10euros for 3d skin), Wargaming would sell tons of these. But no.

I said the same thing as Balcora during the last BM - the ones for sale were priced almost like a tier VIII prem tank - for a single skin, for christ sake!  Of course it didnt sell much - if they had lowered the price to half WG definately would have made a lot more money by selling far more skins - cause if it is cheap - "sure, why not?".  But costing 20+ euros.... "Naaaah, maybe sme other time..."
And it is not like WG have a massive production cost for every single skin....

The best part of it is the fact that it is a great way for WG to make money in a way that is not affecting the gamplay at all - unlike all the broken and devastatingly powercreeping premium tanks.

Talking about overpriced.

What was the price for that obj 705A skin that is currently available (as part of 3 skins)

If you want just a single-tank skin it was like €15 or something.

And tbh, that dragon-knight skin is ugly and provides little excitement.

The best styles are the more realistic ones with its own style compared to the standard model like the ”sekhmet” style for obj. 140 IMO. The bad ones like ”pipeline” for M48A5 Patton has way to much stuff on it. But I also like some of the gimmick styles like the ”odin’s wolves” for the lansen and the new halloween styles for the german tanks.

Really good idea!

There is few skins that look really good in game, IS3 3D skin is my nr1 :justwait:
Weird here is that, i have not yet seen any other players in IS3 with this skin on.

IS3 "Montu" style

Only thing i would like to see these skins to do, is that it would make your tank "half premium"
+20% credit making / crew training :great:
Lets be honest, these skins are not that cheap...

I also have the "Pike" skin for IS-3, never seen any other IS-3 with either the 2 skins above.

Personally I would like it if a camo overlay could be added to make some colorchanges for the different maps.

I have both, so clearly what you're saying is I should buy back and play the IS-3.

I would love this (if I'm understanding you correctly), but the problem is these are skins. AFAIK The game doesn't really support loading different skins (textures) for different seasons so they'd have to use camouflages instead, but those lack the complexity to really make detailed skins like what Montu (the style in Tonza's post) has, and a blue paint mask on top of a camouflage skin doesn't tend to work very well (I've tried :teethhappy:).

You understand correctly. And yes I understand it can be complex and maybe not supported by the game (at this time)

One can hope though:)

And yes, too little amount of custom IS-3's driving around:child:

Purchasable skins are a far more lucrative business strategy than just dumping out premiums that we don't need/are completely broken. Monetizing cosmetics is a plus for me.
