The German tier 8 medium premium tank sometimes known as the rampanzer due to its large frontal bulldozer is in need of some buffs.
At the time of writing, it's sitting at an under average winrate on the EU server of 48.69%, rather low on the list of all tier 8 premium medium tanks.
The vehicle is not competitve and rarely seen in battles, mostly played as a meme because of its unique feature, the bulldozer blade.
Although known as the Rampanzer, its actually very bad at ramming despite having the bulldozer blade.
But why is it considered bad? Lets look at it's pros and cons.
Pros
- Good gun handling
- Good armor
- Good gun depression
Cons
- Poor accuracy (0.4 base)
- Large size
- Low top speed
- Bad power to weight
- Large cupola is big weakspot
So in summary, it's large and slow. The armour is mostly irrelevant due to the large cupola weakspot. You could try to play sniper to make it hard for enemies to hit that weakspot, but sniping in this tank does not work due to its poor accuracy. The slow speed and poor power to weight make it ineffective to wiggle in close quarters, and enemies can easily hit the weakspot. Last but not least, it's bad at ramming.
How I would buff it.
- Increase engine power and top speed to match the M48 on which it is based, to 45kmh and 810hp. (Currently 40kmh and 650hp)
- Improve accuracy a little, perhaps to 0.37 (currently 0.4)
Then I'd leave it a while and see how it performs, see if the 48.69% win rate comes up. If not, I'd then change more:
- Improve the accuracy more, maybe to 0.35
- Increase the DPM to around 2000 (currently 1894)
- Make the cupola weakspot smaller, like the tier X M48 turret
Hopefully some readers agree with me and my recommendations for this vehicle, I'd like to see this tank become less.. bad.
