Its Wednesday, so here is a random thought;

WHAT IF...

WG decided to replace the IS-7 with the Obj.780?

German CM Zapfan has already stated that the Obj.780 "is not planned to be a CW reward tank". It can be speculated that this is a smokescreen, or even that the Obj.780 will be part of Personal Campaign mission 3.0, even though if I remember correctly WG have stated that wont happen for a while. So, what pros or cons can you think of that this could / would / should (not) happen? Does the Obj.780 fit the line better? What will future Steve's do without the IS-7 to grind (and maybe only to being able to buy it during future Black Market). etc!

Lets try to keep it constructive and see if we can get a healthy (and hopefully a bit of fun) discussion going.

Oh, and if mods decide that this is more Off-Topic material, then so be it and move it there please. Thank you.

*If* they insert the Obj780 at the top of the tech tree, I am not sure they would "Deathstarrify" the IS-7 now that the "collectable vehicles" category has been introduced... :popcorn:

Really? Making the IS-7 a Collector's Vehicle means its obtainable fo 6,1 mil credits. If WG were to add it to the TX pool in Black Market (since Deathstar and Foch have been on offer twice now) for 25-30 mil credits... epends how cynical you are of WG I guess, but I am leaning more towards the latter. Especially how WG is making credits the more valuable resource in the game and loves to drain the credit pools. Also, no new vehicles have been added to the CV list since its introduction, so would they really start with a TX?

No, and for gods sake stop making "heavy" tanks like these...

I can't imagine that WG would remove the most popular russian heavy from the techtree. T10s that were moved to the collectors section didn't have a dedicated role and their spot in the techtree was completely removed.

I could see however WG adding the 780 as an exclusive offer to the bond shop or an upcoming black market for an outrageous pricetag.

This is quite the alternate timeline, if the IS-7  is gonna become a glorified special.

Then they should also convert every map into a Mirny map because we evidently have crossed into another dimension.

Just for memory sake though, they Obj 780 was the one with that rediculous lower plate wasn't it?

but why though. Why does the IS-7 need to be replaced by something that's essentially a 277.
