Mountain Pass / Caucasus. Probably old news for some...

The great thing about the forum is that I learn so much from experts
I feel certain that it will be reflected at some point in my stats.

I can guarantee you it's not useless ![]()

I said it was useless as soon as the enemy takes H4, not instantly useless from the start. But I still like that bush a bit back to the center as there is always a light that sneaks past you don't see and gets on H4, or goes across that lake the second you get up. Then your rounds will be cut short the second you get spotted. Thus I see it as a risk = reward spot, vs just using the equally effective and safer spot a bit behind.
But that's just me.

The ELC in that forward bush will stay unspotted, even when an enemy LT reaches H4. At least with the previous size of the bush.
The forward bush is approximately 80 meter closer to the crossing tanks on the other side. That must mean something wrt. spotting the train of tanks driving past over there.
If an enemy tank goes across towards me, I can easily drive back in cover and move over the bush you mention. I rarely do that though - I just move back and across to the other corner at E3 and challenge the enemy tank which is coming up the ramp.

When I'm in that bush with my ELC, I actually worry more about blind shots once the enemies get spotted crossing...
Such an obvious place to blind shoot...

I do too
A quick calculation from memory: I'm blindshot (and hit) maybe 1 out of 8 times when I'm in that bush.

And another one. The first time I take a much larger tank into that newly nerfed bush ![]()
It's very annoying when WG remove bushes, if there is imbalance, they should add a bush to the other side.
This "Agent Orange" map design makes maps more boring as they become more desolate and linear/simple.

I always die a horrible death when I take that bush anyway, can't play it, I usually take the corner on the other side, where the STB-1 went.
Btw what are the three balls under your reticle? Can't figure out their function.
As always, step one is notices by few only and not called "buff", whereas step two is called "nerf".
IMO step one some unintentional change of bush models which was correct recently (after more than 10 months).

There is a bush on the other side.
You need to make it yourself.
The bush needed some trimming it will grow back ![]()
On a side note i also used that bush in the past but if an enemy Ebr rushes middle you are in trouble so i also use the bush on the far right more these days.

Thats a much better bush, and you can also double bush from there. And pull back faster if you get spotted.
From the nerfed bush I mention, you have the full angle of vision and can spot enemy tanks even when they hug the big rock at H5 after having driven past the opening. You can't spot those tanks from the other bush mentioned.
I wasn't blindfired in this case either. Very rarely do I get blindfired there, regardless of it being an "obvious place" to blindfire.
I wasn't spotted either, because their scout had a limited angle of view and didn't run towards us.
I could even shoot and kill the enemy FV215b without getting spotted.
