This guy is not cheating even tho it might seem that way, I was wrong. He is only paying to win, but that's not a crime. Can you imagine how much money he has spent in more than 20K games playing like this? He's average tier is more than IX.

You're pretty much the only one who keeps claiming there are no cheats. Everyone else understands that there are cheats.

I think OP is trying to say it's impossible to have a good game in a Type 5.

I hope.

Edit: Oh, he was spamming full gold AP. lolz

Actually that video is brilliant, you can learn a lot about how to play well. Awareness is always #1.

...So, what exactly is cheating about playing a Type 5 with full gold ammo and full premium consumables?

the only real 'fishy' thing people point out in the comments being the shot at 3:10 where his aim goes from the engine deck to the gun mantlet and back. but what people dont realize the japanese quirk of odd gun dep values as shown below

10 gun dep is the regular value. basically that jump towards the gun mantlet might aswell be when he slinged his gun over that shoulder spot and 'jumped' that 0.6 degree up and down as its only a real tiny spot

There is no way the aim would jump that far up if that bump was the culprit...

I looked at the video frame-by-frame and it appears the shot hit the gun and bounced into the engine deck. The delays and jumpy aim can all be attributed to the replay.

Unless somebody finds this guy's stream and watches this game played live (if this one was actually played live), we cannot confirm anything.

Anyone who's ever watched a replay on their own PC, and paid attention, will know that the movements of the mouse (centered camera aim) can be de-synced as well as the actual aimpoint itself. It is a server-side recording of gameplay, not a direct recording. This explains how his aim jumped together with the camera at 1:09 when aiming at the VK. There will always be lag in replays, and it will often look like cheats to the untrained, eagerly attention-seeking drama-loving eye.

when zoomed in that 0.6 degree difference can be pretty noticable. besides the aim didnt jump up that far, just engine deck to gunmantlet and back and happened pretty quick which can quite relate the the gun dep quirk in the pic i shown.

besides you can also quite notice the difference between 5 and 6 gun dep etc which on paper look pretty minor

Stanlox is crazy though, I've watched his stream a few times as well. The aggression, the awareness, the constant keeping his gun in the fight. It's mind boggling.

If you pay close attention to the angle of his turret in relation to his hull, he had turned way farther left over that bump. The bump is on the point at which the front plate and cheek plate meet. His gun was over the point at which the side plate meets the cheek plate. Pause the video when he fires, move the camera in tanksgg above the tank and compare the angles of the hull and turret at each point, you'll see it right away.

Besides, if he had really encountered that bump, his camera aim would've jumped up as well, because that's what happens.

Plus, I don't think he was even fully depressing the gun at that point, though I'm not entirely sure...

So I still blame replay de-sync and suspect he ricocheted off the gun.

If that's what he's making a fuss about then whatever 'cheat' he was supposed to be using isn't very good because the engine shot was a guaranteed pen, the turret shot could have easily bounced.

Well, he was loaded with gold AP, so it would've been a 50-50 actually.

Edit: nevermind that's not what you meant, I need sleep lol.

Here's a secret for you: playing well earns well.

All you need is a premium account. And while some tanks will make a loss, others will turn a profit with food and ample to full gold ammo load outs. Food, which can be bought in bulk at sales for 10k. And sufficient tier 9 and 10 tanks where you would be stupid to spam full gold (standard round is APCR, has good base pen, more shell velocity than HEAT, more reliability penetrating track shots than HEAT).

I don't know, but I dare bet he has tens of millions of credits, without ever buying a Fort Knox.

That's nice. Care to elaborate on what made you think he was cheating in the first place? What exactly made it "seem that way"?

I'm presuming it must be something more substantial than he was playing well because if that's your basis for comparison I can understand why you would see cheats everywhere.

According to some using any form of HE shell would be cheating/broken.

By extension we'd all be cheats at some point.

Sure... But in this context that is. As he might have paid his way up. But he still knows mechanics and other aspects well enough to stay alive vs just rolling over pressing 2 on everything. In the youtube video a spot at 1:22 had a few comments about cheating. There he is simply holding down the right mouse button to lock the gun to get a good bounce angle as he moves up. On 3:11 it was the gun depression angles that are less over some parts of the hull that adjusted the sights for him.
