Last week I was playing a match  things were going horrible had to defend base so went back guess what happend saw afk e50m in base that never moved a inch from start meh might be afk but here's the strange part when ever a enemy was spotted nearby (bot so call 'it' ) it's turret only moved towards that tank even though enemy tank was behind a wall if the enemy poked he simply fired at enemy. When enemy was unspoted e50m's turret moved back to normal position this kept happening until he died. Created a respectable ticket with proof guess what they replied no need to tell us our system(fair play policy) works to find such cheats. Ok the guy might be telling truth.

 

Guess what happend today?. An is5 that was afk in base did similar things to that e50m he did not moved an inch only turret movement when enemy was spotted.

 

So,you guys be a judge and tell me is their system working perfectly?. Those fair play policy reports at portal telling that they banned that much amount of players, are those numbers fake to impress us?.I don't have any issue with afk I know something was important that u had to leave the game,happens to all but this bot system is what annoys you.

I think you need to define the term perfectly.  From context, it appears you mean 100% of the time and instantly.  No system can be 100% efficient (A 1/1,000,000 chance would happen 67 times in the UK).  Suspected cheats have to be identified either by report or automated measures and then verified.

 

It's not ideal but I would rather the system mitigate false positives (You see no end of complaints of being banned for no reason. (irony/sarcasm)).

Yes, that E50M was clearly a bot.

Seemingly WG does not care.

They have to actually break the rules before they can be punished for breaking the rules.  There also needs to be a little leeway in the system otherwise players would be getting punished for disconnects, or real life issues or just for playing arty.

it looks weird, for sure, but I think that this guys isn't using a bot.

 

his stats are bad, ok but not that bad overall, he has 770 wn8 (900 recent), that is the wn8 of the majority of the player base.

 

his average damage with tier 10 tanks is 1200 - 1400, that is too high for a bot which doesnt use movement, like it happened in that replay.

 

and maybe I dont see it, but there is absolutely no reason to use a bot for tier 10 battles. he has enough premium tanks to level crews at tier 8.

 

maybe he has a real bad internet contection, or no keyboard

Tbh even them banning everyone that has used such programs or mods up to know, won't prevent new people from trying it tomorrow to fill the field again. As the E50 in question has a WN8 of close to 800 and more than 2-3 shots of damage per game to be a pure bot user tbh. So I suspect he just started IF he is using it. 

 

Yes, the idle bots was a major issue back in the day. But today they are a more rare sight due to the idle counter system giving zero XP etc. So they don't last long for most to see it as an effective tool. As the system is based on hull movement vs turret movement. And again as with every argument on this. You are welcome to go idle a few games in a row and see how long it takes before you get a warning. Instead, you might argue it's "too nice" as it gives them a few matches with it before it hits them.

Homer u gota watch that replay from start of battle he was doing that from start even phone call you will simply goto safe place rather than staying at base and his turret movement clearly shows he is using bot system .

How can you state this as a certainty given you have no information other than that in the video?  Your assumption may be true but it will not be true because of your assumption it could be true due to facts not in evidence.

I saw this same thing a few years ago on tier 1 reported the player with a replay, cant remember the outcome I think they temp banned the person or something

 

It does seem like a particularly nasty thing to do but then we do live in a society of "Me 1st"

Even if they were using a bot the only thing is shows is that some players use bot programs which I'm not sure anyone denies.

I don't think there was a time when bot users were getting bans during "fair-play" banwaves.

As far as i understand this situation bot using acc is easily detectable by WG automated systems. After a while they will receive a 3 day ban. If their acc will get marked for bot use again then next ban will be longer. 

I've never heard of them getting permabans, ever.

This game has never been fair. Wargaming claim they remove cheaters and bots. Just like Trump claim he won the election.

Majority of playerbase is so hopelessly bad, that I would, for a change, welcome bots that do damage, even when "afk" in base.

Long time ago a member of the clan I was in had to explain why he suddenly had no CW tanks.

 

He had been caught botting and took the option of an account reset over a lifetime ban.  AFAIK he never got any warning, just straight in with the locked account and option to reset.

Yeah, what is the problem with bots? If you have let's say 40% of the playerbase play the same, what is the problem?

So you have players who are a bit useless, you do anyhow, so they will progress to higher tiers and so the same, we have that too,  so they will never learn how to play...yeah.

So really do not see what the problem is, if that how they want to play this game, ok.

Rule breaking, nobody cares, game is the same, gameplay is the same, let them do their schtik.
