Why do we have to go to different sites like tankrewards and dailydeals etc. Why cant Wg do this ingame? Dont they have the competence to do it ingame, or is it cheaper to do it on a website? Somethings seems fishy to me with this. If they want to give is some "free" stuff they could just add it to the accounts, not make do us some 1990's stuff. Marketing must move past this hassle.

#firstworldproblems.

I would imagine on the practical side to avoid having even more micropatches than they already have.

They should just create an in game browser interface that can access dynamic webcontent rather than add it to the actual game.

Using websites for an online game while the game had an inbuilt  ingame dashboard the garage, it is an odd practice.

I would guess they outsource these things from other content providers. Meaning it's actually someone else hosting and running tankrewards site

I've noticed WG accept first world currency when I do transactions with them too. It's easy to say first world problems... but it doesn't really translate appropriately to a video game that uses electronic payments ie is very much a first world product.

You've already responded to the same post before...

And... well, that's nonsense. It's not like the system as it is doesn't work. Could it be aesthetically more pleasing or integrated, sure. But would it matter in regards of the outcome? No.

Would I welcome a full in-game webbrowser interface? Sure. Is the lack of that "fishy", "troubling" or "problematic"? No.

Lol the ingame is already a browser, why do you think it keeps refreshing.

I believe the reason for it being in a website is that it is EUR specific so they dont want to add it into the main game. I believe the regions have flexibility in what events they have to keep their player bas

There is still a certain glamour in being considered an indie developer. WG likes to cash in on it by doing certain things badly.

Spoiler

As a constructive proposal, I like to tell you that

- when you are in the garage and you click on "Premium Shop", your standard browser is opening with the capability to make incrypted transactions and safe mode. You are already logged in. When the Shop shows up, you can copy and paste the URL of "tankrewards" (I am pretty sure you can use a bookmark, too) and claim your goodies there.

So, what Wargaming had to do, is show the depending URLs in the Garage or elsewhere.
By this, they could be held responsible for the content there.

Exactly wich ever way WG does it... It has their desired effect milking the decadent west fit all they got.

I'd it me or are we just having these kinds of "deals" and "specials" even more frequently now?

It's like the first one isn't even over yet and we're already in the second special with us being warmed up for the 3rd.

How I ask you is all of this even special or a good deal any more?

For all we know they can just add it in-game just fine atm, but can't due to a timed contract with whatever provider that gives the service to use the in-game UI for it.

Then again, the last time they did try to push an event web page in-game. The file that did it was flagged by some scanners as a bitcoin miner, and everyone panicked and blocked it.

Someone at WG probably went to DFS and got a few ideas of how specials offers work.

Err... what?

Not at all related to my post but ok.

Yeah, this is new compared to 2016 when I last played before January 2020, but since then I noticed nothing new. The deals and special and 'exclusive offers', if I heard it right, came from the Chinese server over to RU and only then to "the decadent West".

Its nonsense but you would welcome it... very interesting answer.

That it's linked to "first world currency" and that electronic payments are used to buy services is unrelated. Implying that they are key is the nonsense part.

That stands entirely separate from possible UI improvements or believing that the current system is "fishy".

Everything to do with this game and the forum is a first world problem. You lazily stating it on a post is "nonsense"... the fact you then agreed it would be better just adds to the irony.

Lol... your rant is still utter nonsense, mate. No irony there.

I'm not ranting, I'm just telling you that advising people of their opinions about a video game doesn't need a first world problem comment. The fact you then agree is ironic, you do know what the word means?

Its a forum people post opinions about it... you agreed the game would be better but snubbed him with your opening comment. No need for it, it was in fact a  nonsense post.
