Hi guys, I'm not sure if I'm posting it in the right section, if not then apologies.

So I've been playing this game since May 2011. I've been playing on this account to learn how to play, get the hang of mechanics etc... My question is, do the account stats matter or should I take it with a pinch of salt.

I noticed after almost 2,000 battles, my winrate is 49.50 and I have a wn8 of about 1141. I know this isn't great, and I'm capable of performing better so I made a new account recently and after 61 battles I have a wn8 of 2409 which I think is pretty decent.

So, should I stick with my old account (as I have a lot of equipment, buffs, creds etc on it) or should I continue on my new account?

Thanks!

Stick with the old account because at that battle count your stats will improve quickly if you keep performing well in near future.

I.m.o., statics is not important. Also even if it's important for you, you can buff your statics in future while trying to play better than current situation. 2k battle won't be extreme to buff.

Depends.

For some players stats is the only thing that matters - because by those stats they can see that they are good at this game, so they have fun in being better.

And for other players stats mean absolutely nothing, because they can have fun anyway - jumping from cliffs is fun too.

It's only for you to decide which one of them are you.

Yes they matter, Excel would suck without statistics.

That depends, do you care about the stats for yourself, or about what others think of you? As if it's the last one, keep the old account. If you keep improving, the stats might be way different when you get to 2500 battles, and you might be closer or have passed 50% by then.

Stats are important if you have an interest in getting better and want to see how you are doing. They're not important if you care about what other people might think of you because of them.

This should have been a poll, because everything gets better by adding percentages. Especially drinks! :great:

I couldn't care less about your performace. I'd rather stay to the original account so you have more tanks and better crews.

Only RECENT statistics matter so stick to old account.

Stick to the old account, it has the tanks & crews & stuff. Why start from scratch if you already got an account with tanks? What will you do if you get even better? Reroll again & start from scratch again? Then it becomes an infinite circle & you get stressed out every time you got a bad day that drags you down (and bad days on wot are stressy enough already).

So stick to the old account, because what does the new account offer? Nothing tangible. Stats don't buy you tanks or get you crews.

Stats don't matter until they do. Some clans require particular values in order to consider you for membership, some forum posters will use them as a way to negate your argument in order to not have to think about the validity of whatever point you've made, some players will act in a particular way during battles based on what they see and for some players their stats are an integral part of their self-worth. Only you can decide whether they're important to you and why.

The crews, tanks, etc. that you've unlocked on each account are immaterial in that context. Obviously it's better to have more options available but again, that's entirely up to you.

Depens from person to person. I want to have at least 52 % with my tier X tanks, except trash like Rhm. Pzw on which I dont care about anything, and only play that garbage because it looks good :D. That said, if you won't care about any stats whatsoever, you will be "enlightened". WoT stats are bad for mental health.

Stats matters as a reflection of the actions and input that create them. Nothing more, nothing less.

Stats are useful as a tool to measure if you are getting better or worse at the game, and no-one likes to think they are getting worse.

For some though they are a stick to beat people with or brag about their e-peen.

Personally I don't worry about them and certainly don't worry when some cretin tries to stat-shame in PM's.

I always found stats a great way to track personal progress. Want to do better in your fave tank? Well remember your average damage and try to beat it every game. If a month later you have upped your average damage in that tank without making any others get worse, then you're improving and it's going well! We are all along a curve, some peoples gradients are different to others, some people have different starting points. Main thing is to enjoy yourself, if you enjoy it when you win more, then there is your reason to improve ;)

So personally I'd recommend sticking with your most played account :)

If you are not 50% WR then you are considered unfit to even breathe, well according to the stat shamers and flamers, I will never reach those giddy heights, ever, my alt is only slightly better at around 48% blob, tha is as far as it will go before i either rage quit or do something heinous to society, this account is dead forever now.

Do you believe whoever tells you you're a piece of crap?

If so, yes stats matter.
