Finally got my hands on T30.


What should be in my "firepower slot"?

Equipment suggestions?


Skills?

I use IRM, Rammer and Vents. IIRC, I put them in that order.

Equipment.

Rammer + Improved rotation (Since V-stab won't work) + vents.

 

Skills: Repair + 6th sense. Bia. Gunhandling + viewrange + safe stowage. 4th: mobility things and whatever you like, maybe camo.

Dont play on turret. Dont peek around corners. Dont go front line. Only stay behind. Even if you think that turret is hard and stuff, players will just shot top of the turret like it was nothing. I plaied with it only dont know how much battles, but it is what I learned. I just cant play with it. Bought it 3 times, sold it 3 times.

Rammer, Vents and IRM.

 

One of the rather straightforward tanks to equip.

 

On a side note, APCR helps with the shell velocity when firing from distance. AP is sufficient in penetration for anything closer than 300m.

Rammer, vents, IRM, turbo, optics are all valid options imo. Really depends on own preferences. I haven't tried it yet, but I t hink I would pick IRM, no turbo, rammer and either vents or optics.

aim unit, turbo, vents is what id pick. making your shot count and getting there is quick is better than shaving 2 seconds off a missed shot

 

with that setup you've got max viewrange and .3 dispersion (with food) 

 

skills wise? BIA + view range perks IMO. repairs might be useful too.

 

 

ofc i dont even have T30 so if this setup doesnt work, atleast i warned you :hiding:

Been having success with IRM (in firepower slot), vents & optics. Early days though, so jury is still out a bit.

Thanks for such quick responses guys!

I tried on paper to measure. If left with Vents on 1st slot. I dont get much overall improvement (accuracy doesnt chance). Maybe some hull rotation and turret speed buff. View range is +8m.

I may give IRM on 1st slot a try.

I tried couple of games with no skills and equipment.
So far feels like a much more accurate Kv2. Minus any armor.

I like the hull down possibilities. (until arta comes and tells me to relocate <3)

I will ponder on the crew skill some more. I did BIA first for now and then went for 2nd skill repairs. I feel like I am no missing on 6th sense that much. Because I would play this tank like my Kv2, brawl line support. So I know Im spotted already. >D

I 3 marked mine with Rammer/Vents/Optics but since the 2.0 I replaced vents with IRM.

 

Played it basically as a heavy, use turret armor whenever possible with occasional sidescrape only taking a second line approach when there is too much gold spamming T10's 

 

Too bad you lose on average 1 teammate per reload so my WR is meh.

irm/rammer/ - iau/vents on 3rd slot. Probably IAU will be for me when I'm done with the lower tiers and get the crew to play it. As the gun accy is... rather vague :P

 

iau also helps on snaps; giving you smaller base aim circle. Still; doubt I'd risk too many snaps with that gun =)))

 

p.s. - optics can also be valid. As, if I remember right, even with a 5 skills crew or whatever I currently have on jackson, I wasn't reachin' max vr even with food. But it's not the tank to spot. And it's not even good as mid spotter on somethin' like prok. Because with low hp and crap mobility, arty will have a field day.

If you want to that works as well, the 120mm actually has nice DPM.

The biggest problem of the T30 isn't necessarily the long reload but the gun handling, reload speed can be adapted, derpy gun handling less so, which is where the IRM comes into play.

If you are top tier and facing most enemies you can play on a ridge or over cover at fairly close range, if in a tier 10 match you need to be mid range, long range and just cope with the banana shells. do not be afraid to fire some HE in fact I carry equal parts normal,gold HE ammo.

 

first post on equipment is the best option. get that gun accuracy and bloom fixed!
