I am mostly venting here, but let me preface this by saying that I am, by no means, a good heavy tank player. In fact, the opposite is true, I hate playing them. I stick to lights and mediums as I am comfortable with having good speed, adequate firepower and some camo.

But seeing as the E-75 got a buff recently, I wanted to play it again. I had fond memories of playing before, like 4 years ago. By fond memories, I mean frustration and pain. I hated the E-75. So after they buffed the armor and the gun, I thought, 'Okay, this looks cool. Maybe I can play it again!'

Ugh. I shouldn't have wasted over 6 million credits on buying and equipping the tank. It's a miserable, sorry excuse for a heavy tank. Enemies pen you in the turret's side with standard ammo (I have no clue how). I angle the turret, I don't angle the turret. People pen the turret over half of the time.

Not to mention, the gun. While the 530 alpha dmg is quite excellent, even better than the Maus gun, I just struggle trying to hit anything with it. And when it does, it bounces off the armor, harmlessly. Gold helps mitigate this somewhat, but again, it's ineffective against Soviet heavies. I had to fight 257, 277s, IS7s etc. and not be able to counter them. But they can just shoot gold into my turret front and just ruin my day.

The lower plate is another thing I struggle with. It's huge and cannot bounce anything. I swear, people can shoot it though rubble and solid cover. That lower plate is the reason I hated this tank before, and I still do.

It's super slow, too, barely able to get into any position at all. Moving around, trying to throw off the enemies' aim is a fruitless effort. It cannot get into positions quickly. It's slower than the E-100 it feels like...

Lastly, it attracts horrendous teams. I have just under 41% WR in this tank. I am very certain that I lost more than half of the games I've been playing yesterday and today. My WR sucks because of the stock grind that I had to endure years ago. It's not that much better now, E-75 is my cursed tank.

I don't know how to play it. I cannot get it to work. It's trash. It's an EXP and credit pinata. I am this close to selling it, that's how much it has driven me insane.

I will upload replays soon, just the last few games I have had in this tank.

E75 is my most favourite tier 9 tank atm. Its just an amazing tank. The turret might not have armor against 340 HEAT but its small and enemies can bounce by hitting the gun most of the time if you are wiggling. Speed is not good , i run a turbo charger to help with that but everything else about the tank is awesome. You need to hide the lower plate and sidescrape with it. Against tier 8s you just farm them.

Speaking from playing it quite alot but long time ago, one of the best tier IX tanks.

Just be patient, hide your weaknesses (LP) and punish everybody. IMO of the of the best pushing vehicles in the game, especially with alpha increase.

As for the turret side, it has holes in the ears, you can check on tanks.gg, there is just nothing behind some spaced armor.

But I would get from somebody that prefers playing mobile more action oriented tank that playing something like a behemoth takes a quite different aproach.

I really liked it back in the day. Don't play it much anymore wich is a shame I guess

The gun is what set it apart from the other hvys at the time being one of the harder hitting whilst still being reasonably accurate.
Saying all this I am by no means a good player so it's just my personal opinion I'm stating here.

Not everyone likes the same thing. Luckily

The E75 is a magnficient tank. Indeed, I noticed as well, the armor is not 100% fool proof but it can bounce quite some shots.

Regarding mobility, it's actually a strength. It turns much better than the VK B, ST-I, Mauschen, 705, 50TP, Type 4. Even better than the 'heavium' WZ-111-1-4 and basically on par (E75 marginally better) with T-10. That mobiliity makes it much easier to counter people that flank you. The VK B shows its massive side profile, while the E75 shows the front and has the gun pointed already. Massive difference and that's why I like the E75 so much as a heavy tank. It's often compared to the ST-I, which only has 440 alpha and complete potato gun handling. ST-I and VK B might be better tat sidescraping, but the E75 has the mobility to move around and poke when stuff like a JPZ has fired its shot. If you have a building next to you, you can also bait the enemy shot by showing the heavily angled front around the corner. VK B can do that as well, but takes much more time to poke around the corner after the enemy has fired.

Another tip is to make use of your alpha. 530 is a lot, 490 already was. No one likes to take such shots. Make sure you can retreat after firing to gain some time. If you play on the ridge of Glacier for example, you smack some medium, retreat and the medium can go suck a D. Same with brawling on Fjords south or town of Highway. If you smack some enemy and retreat properly, the enemies struggle to fire back.

E75 has 400 view range as well, makes it eligible to spot some targets. Nice counter to meds and lights on open maps.

Not played the E-75 since it came out, did the E-100 grind and not long after that was that.

I found using the WASD keys was a good way to play that tank, mind control utterly failed. Funny enough, I think I enjoyed the E-75 in pubs more than the E-100. Was the same with the IS-4, loved it as a tier 9 in randoms, then it was changed.

I'd say the E-75 has always been one of those tanks that was always well balanced. Strong and competetive, but not broken OP.

I loved it back in the day, just a great heavy with overall great stats and a nice punchy gun. It didn't feel too slow for me, and the armor was good enough for me.

It has been a while though, so maybe the day has finally come that it actually had gotten powercreeped? Who knows...

Press W, see enemy tank, shoot til it or you die.

Repeat.

Aced it in half stock in like 5 battles. Not a rocketscience tank.

I know the feeling...  I am all over the place with HTs.  I seem to do well in them at lower tiers, but I can't consistantly do well in tier VIII, and I have about a 40% WR in my Polish tier VII.  I have blue stats and a decent WR in my Super Conq.  I used to love the tier IX Chinese HT and had a great WR in it and then it suddenly switched to being cursed and every game is 0-15 and every shot misses or bounces.  I just feel like that with lights you can mitigate WG messing with you to a certain degree.  You can nerf someone's firepower and armour but you can't take away their mobility.

That said, I was cruising to a three mark in my A-20, with my second mark at 55 games, and since then I've had terrible teams, terrible 'luck' and I've been stuck at 85% for twenty games now.  I've basically given up on the three mark now.  One game on Steppes I lit half the enemy team in the open and with two leFHs and a Bishop on my team scored 100 spotting dmg.  I had a Valiant slowly rolling accross the field in the open for five minutes being ignored or missed by everyone until it got all the way up to my team's firing line!  Shocking stuff.
