hey there,

i realy wonder what other players doing with their 100% crew memebrs storaged in barrkes without any trained skills or perks.

we got alot of them by purchasing permium/Bonds tanks, monthly reward, twitch rent tanks, 7v7 mode.

but i have no idea how to get the best use of them? maybe Dismissal all? :sceptic:

I occasionally lock a few of them in a cage, throw in a knife and then state "only one of you will leave this cage alive". :great:

Alternatively, WG introduced crew books and booklets. Put 100% crew in the tank they are for, do not select any skills, chuck on a 20k xp crew booklet from a daily mission, or even a few of them if you have them. Then when you retrain them for credits to a new vehicle they are already at... ehrr... more % than the 90% they would be if you had not done that.

Option 3: use those same crewbooks to give them some useful skills, then retrain them for credits because them being at 50% in their first skill helps reduce the drawbacks of them being at 90% basic training.

Yesterday I did notice my barracks were full - so dismissed like hundreds of those included crew members from all kinds of prem and rental tanks I have gotten. Cause if I need a new crew member to any tank it will cost the same to retrain one of those, as it will recruiting a freshly new one.

OFC did keep those 0-skilled or the ones with some skills/perks already trained.

If they have no full skills/ perks, or I already have a better crew assigned to the tank that they are trained for, I would just dismiss them, they are a waste of your bunks in the barracks.

And then you end up with just radiomen, because we all know they are the strongest and most capable ones.

To OP, I just dismiss those crew members, but it's because I already have several crews per nation which I can just retrain with credits to a new tank and then use crew booster to get them fully trained again in couple of battles. Just stick with the crews until your barracks is full and then dismiss those you have duplicates of or you find useless.

There is only one thing to consider unless you have no use for them whatsoever. If you have a German Premium Med crew trained to 100%, then training them with Silver for any regular German med will get you 90% trained in Major Qualification, other than 75% for a new recruit. This can be especially handy if you have a new vehicle with two loaders, or a radio operator that wasn't a part of a previous crew.

Apart from that, they are no use whatsoever and I am pretty sure I've got rid of (almost) all of mine.

I've dismissed a few in the past as long as they don't have any points in skills but these days I hang on to them as I have plenty of barrack slots. They come in handy when you buy a tank with an odd layout, like the spare loader I needed for the VK 100.01 P. Saved me recruiting a new guy at 75% when I could retrain him from a rental heavy to 90% for credits.

That 15% difference in basic training is quite a bit, and on the freshly recruited guys you cannot use a crewbook until they reach 100% basic training. With the Barracks Boys you can chuck on a crewbook before retraining them for credits. :great:

GUYS GUYS!

I really dont get you lot, gave this advice to the same question on NA, and to some of the casual players I know get this a lot from me.

Do you have a premium tank or the actual tank that the crew is for?

Play that crew, no skills, dont pick nothing, use a 6th sense directive if your a snowflake, point being if you have the tank or a premium where they can be used without penalty, even without a crew book, you can gain XP on the crew, I usually go to 75% unallocated, then re-train the crew for credits to whatever tank you want, you still have a 100% crew with some XP above that 100%. No gold needed, no loss of 100% primary qualification, no skills selected.

I mostly just hoard them and end up retraining them for tech tree tanks that aren't tier 10.

Depends, most have gone into tanks I've bought back, or crews I've moved around that has an extra slot vs the tank they came from.  I don't dismiss them either way, as you always need at least one now and then. With the upcoming Italian line, I'm glad I have a few extra lying around.

I delete them. Simple as that. They're of no use to me, just a waste of space.

Sorry, I find it crazy that crews worth 100 gold per member are too inconvenient to play for an hour with no skills selected, so you can have a free 100% crew to put in any tank.

And then put them back in the barracks?

I already have all the crews I'm ever going to need and a bunch of recruits with 2+ skills.  I have girls from the last two tears Xmas event and three Santas waiting to be used.  I really don't need some lowly 100% crew which I have to train up to be half as useful as one I can just slot in a tank.

100% crews in the barracks are 100% only for the tank they are trained for.

they become 80% crews if retrained in other tanks, so basically useless... except...

they do nevertheless have a perk: if you put them in the tank they are trained for, they can have crew books applied, and then retrained for another tank, using their unassigned XP to retain 100% training after reassignment.

so... if these are 100% crews trained on a premium tank that is used by another of your crews, and if you have a lot of free barracks slots, then it can be useful to keep them around, incase you would want to train another crew.

this is of course for F2P accounts. wallet warriors can just carry on spending $$$ to achieve the same much faster and easier.
