Just a question,  why are 8 out 10 of my tier 10 battles full tier 10 only battles and 8 out of 10 tier 9 battles tier 10 as well..... So I play tier 10 and only get tier 10 battles and play tier 9 and pretty much only get tier 10 battles. Why are WG so determined to trash high tiers?

 

Before you say well those numbers are made up I did a quick  stat count of my last 200 battles at tier 10 and I think 72% of them were tier 10 only battles and the tier 9 battles seem to be mostly 7 tier 10 and 8 tier 9's with the very rare tier 8 game thrown in to make me gasp..

There's a disproportionately high tier 9 and 10 population currently, because, you know, they encourage it with the marathon.

it was happening before the marathon...and even if that was the case surely because of the high numbers I should actually see an increase of tier 8 games in tier 9's to balance it out unless there's some jiggery pokery going on forcing people into tier 10 only games. e.g tonight played 11 games at tier 9 only seen tier 10 games...for all 11 games.

Just because you get more pure tier X games, doesn't mean all the tier X's are occupied to stomp on a tier 9. But joking aside, tier 9 MM is more determined by tier 8 population then 9 tbh. As in class dispersion etc to get MM going.  And that aspect has been out of wack for a bit on tier 8. Some days more so than any class, especially my lights and TDs. The wait for tier 8 games is way longer then for some reason.

I don;t mind playing tier 10 games I just don;t want all my games to be tier 10

ON A SIDENOTE:

Whenever i pick my tier 5 Leopard for a battle its not unusual to wait 70-80 seconds for a battle.
Then i pick my tier9 arty M53/55 and WG tells me (on screen) to be patient because max 3 arty rule.
On average i would say it takes around 10 seconds for my M53/55 to be on the battlefield

 Whats the problem with playing your own tier all the time? I'd welcome a bit more of that at tiers 6, 7 and 8. Think you are missing out on stomping some tier 8s? Look I'm playing the smallest violin in the world.

The point I think a lot of people miss is that without higher tiers in the game, full tier 10 games are the equivalent of being bottom tier when you're playing tier 10 tanks. It is the worst MM you can receive. It is not the same as say being in a tier 6 in an all tier 6 battle. Tier 10s don't seem to be balanced in the same way.

Tier 8, 9 and 10 are just insanely crowded.

Tier 8 because people grind credits

Tier 9 because it's the longest grind for a new tank

Tier 10 because people farm bonds and play tier 10 for the sake of it being the highest tier

 

tier 7 and below are a lot less full.

As a result, the MM will just take as many tanks from the full queues as possible. So you get tier 10 only matches + lots of tier 10 matches that grab a ton of 9s and 8s to fill up the lower spots with.

 

Honestly WG should make it appealing to play lower tiers as well. But youknow, they won't do that, since those aren't the tiers where you lose credits or farm credits with expensive premium tanks.

Instead, they just push everyone to play higher tiers to farm their credits and spend it on pay to win shells and consumables, which gives people more need to buy premium stuff.
