You are misreading that bit. Guaranteed one consumable or one garage slot or one One Directive (though I thought they had split up?) or one crew booklet or one small amount of credits ...

From what I understand, the garage slot is just one of the things you can find. One should be very unlucky to get 723 garage slots.

Luckily I am, still a lot of unwanted garage slots, with a 1/7 chance, that's still above 100.

Garage slot is not guaranteed, it's chanced. Let's say it's chance is something reasonable - maybe 10% - it's still ~70 slots

Yeah, but even if you only get it in 100 boxes out of the 700+ if you get them all. That's still... more than we need. 

 

I mean for some this is amazing and anything helps ofc. But for those of us that have close to 100 as is due to them throwing it at us. Honestly I don't get why they just don't make them free or for silver at this point. Or even unlimited.

The problem that I have with this... stop me if I have missed something... is that if I buy a Premium from the shop, I cannot choose to buy it without a slot. Certainly I looked for that option when I bought the Even 90, and did not see it.

Seems like an ideal opportunity to crank out some missions with my f2p alt as I believe there's only 2 empty slots on that account. Although time spent on that account is time I won't get back for grinding decorations on my main ...

Small boxes are the free ones you get for doing missions so it’s all free stuff and whether it’s consumables or a garage slot doesn’t really bother me...
