Hey,

I've had problems with my ping in the afternoon (after 17:00 until like 23:00) for a couple of months usually it's 50/60 but it goes to 140 with slight packet loss. I didn't change my ISP and the problem doesn't arise in other games e.g. LoL, Valorant, CSGO and OW. 

I've sent a WGCheck report to support and did as they suggested but nothing changed.

Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix this?

Is there any way I can change it? I've tried using VPN and it lowers the ping but it's not a long term solution

VPN is bypassing the routing your ISP has given you.  Only they can sort that out otherwise.

Not as simple as people getting home from work/school putting more strain on network/servers then?

 

ps 140ms, lucky you try 220ms on a good day.
