Ok guys. I know the main answer will probably be sell it but how are forum members using this tank now?

It certainly doesn't work like a spotter and due to uptiering has pen issues. Its far to slow to get to spotting positions fast and is outgunned by most other lights it will meet, any suggestions or examples.

Cheers

I though this tank was poo when I was grinding but I somehow got an MoE on it. one of only a handful ...ever.

I played it just before equip 2.0 so it may not be true now. Its camo is very very good. maximise this and VR but dont yolo. sit back and spot yolo wheelies and chase them down if safe. support unseen and reap late game arty.

the setter is utter shite so far though t is stock atm.

I absolutely love the Crusader!

It's like a mini Cromwell for me basically.

I honestly think tier 6 is a very nice tier where you can easily abuse view range mechanics.

I just use Optics, Binos and Vents. Nothing fancy, just maximizing my view range. Works out fine for me.

Wouldn't worry too much about other scouts on tier 6, because apart from your Type 64 sealclubbers, there's usually not that great scouts on tier 6.

First tank I three-marked. :great:

Ok, it was tier 5, most people played through it quickly to get to the Cromwell and the required damage was something like a combined 900 per battle but it's still an achievement. Kind of.

Stick to another tank with your speed and support it. Obv if you have the credits spam gold.

Outgunned is something I would say it's not is. DPM was one of the perks it had as a tier 5 light back in the day and still has it as a tier 6 as his DPM is more or less with the Type 64. So get in their faces and hold down the button until it dies. It's a great LT counter tank. Even more so if it's one of the newer low DPM lights like the tier 7 Setter, or even the SP 1C. I don't mind trading getting into their faces.

And sure the speed is not the highest on the tier 6 lights, but it's still not the worst and more than enough to play it as a bully with the mediums. That's more or less how I play mine if my team is light heavy as is. But as the only light, it's enough to get to the spots you want. I hardly get contested tbh. But it's not the best active scout around, as the optics view range vs my other tier 6 lights is a tad lower, but still a good passive if needed.

The downside is camo tho vs my other tier 6 lights, as it's not great until you get it on the commander. That's not easy if you prioritize 6th sense, BIA, and situational awareness. Mine is at 29% when at 100% on 2 of the 3 crew members.

All good advice but just about every game i play with it im getting the usual yolo requests, reported for camping, pushed etc when all it is actually good for now is passive.

I love it as I use it mostly as a flanker tank. Tag along the mediums and just flank, flank, flank. Kind of same playstyle as T21, flanking & sniping. On tier 6 game, with just 1 LT around, it can challenge the enemy LT easily. But on T7/8 games with 3 lights, medium tanks are your friends.

If someone is being an [edited]to you, go away and don't support them. It's better to remain alive for a longer time and do damage, instead of trying to yolo or getting killed when pushed out of bush. I had an ally Skorpion G bullying our light on prokh, because he was impatient after 2 mins of no targets. Light tank simply left Skorpion G until it died uselessly and then continued scouting as usual.

Yeah, try to ignore the idiots in your team that tell you to yolo rush.

Keep in mind that over all view range is lower on tier 6, so keep an eye on what kind of MM you get in, and make a decision how agressive you can scout based off that.

Of course you don't wanna be camping in the base, but there should be plenty of passive spots to try out, that are relatively safe to go to without really too much risk.

Its tough, because as you say, there are loads of people who think they know how to play your tank much better than you do, despite usually not being able to play theirs..and wasting their time typing to boot.

I would say go a bit in front, find good cover, and wait for enemy. When they show up you should be able to put a couple of rounds into them before they can react, then either trade them out or dodge back...I tend to stand my ground and shoot it out unless really overmatched. With any luck you can get those initial hits, then maybe 2 for one, then another couple as the enemy panics and tries to withdraw. With any fortune, they should be badly damaged at least, you should be almost intact.

I played it a lot back in the day when it was a tier 5 light, mostly passive spotting and sniping when opportunity arose, now as tier 6 it still has the camo and view range to do the same, even if a little slower than other t6 scouts.

WG don't seem to like the UK lights with the Senlac premium probably being the best one tier for tier, having the Manitcore with such limited ammo and going from 3 crew members down to two is silly.
