You'd get penned regardless 95% of the time anyway in that situation.

Most have a shell loaded for what they expect to find, vs what they actually found. No one is gonna press 1 again just so they can still overmatch you so you can hit them 3 times before they are "allowed" to fire. Same with a 50B. He is not gonna change his clip because the target he looked for was not there, but something else was. 

 

Then again I use gold ammo vs even fast paper targets like lights or wheels, lower-tier or not. Not because I need pen, but because I need shell speed if my gold ammo is faster. As gold ammo depending on gun has more than just pen bonuses that people use them for. Some have less pen loss, or no pen loss over distance vs their main shell, some go way faster, some don't bounce off at 70 degrees, but 85 instead. And some even have less pen but more alpha. So I just don't press 2 alone vs something I can't pen always.

The tier 10 shooting HEAT has more chance to not damage your (to them) paper tier VIII than he has when shooting AP.

 

Apart from that, there isn't really any difference being shot with 250mm or 320mm as a tier 8 tank. You'll get penned regardless.

 

So this whine is beyond silly.

I'll play only tanks with 2 loaders(both with intuition obviously) from now on. So I don't hurt the OP feelings.

Indeed. Most of the time when i use gold it is not for the extra pen it is for the velocity on the shells.

I actually like when the higher tiers waste premium ammo on me when I'm lower tier. 

 

It gives me the satisfaction of knowing that they'll be paying a lot more.

gold ammo is always the better choice, except in very rare cases. So basically this game is never going to draw many players who enjoy balanced games. I remember back in 2013,, we had 200k players every night.

 

most gold ammo is so much faster, so easier to aim and lead shots.

 

gold ammo should be damage nerfed but WG chickened out.
