to get those tier 8's, and dont tell me you can buy 200 and not get a single one, or buy 10 and get all 4.

just tell me how many you get a year. and how much do they cost?

Well, first year i got the special tank in my first box. The second year i got in in box 80something. This year i am getting 150 boxes (if it is 75 boxes a pop) but not for the premium tank but for everything else, You dont need to spend any more money on the game for the entire year after that. You will have 1y+ premium and enough gold to last you untill next years boxes.

 

EDIT: Price is like ~100 Euro for 75 boxes. Well atleast that is how it was the other years.

EDIT2: I still have 300 days left on my premium account from last years boxes.

EDIT3: If you are gona spend money on this game only once a year do it during christmas boxes.

Call me old fashioned but I like to know what I'm buying beforehand not afterward, so none.

Last year I bought 25 and got 2 new tier 8 tanks, the E 75 TS and the Object 703 II, along with a couple of lower tier premiums. This year I think I'll buy the next package up because I want the gold and some premium time for over the holiday period, though I'll hold off making a decision until I see what's in them.

If they are like the previous years with regards to value for money then I'll buy at least 75.

 

This will be mostly to ensure that my garage is pretty much fully decorated right at the start of the season, not because I want any of the premium tanks.

 

If they modify the loot boxes so that they are pretty much like the footlockers, or even somewhere in between the two then I will be buying zero.

 

I will also be letting my premium time run out (which conveniently happens in about 10 days), won't be investing in any more gold for crew training / swapping and will just focus on playing the tanks that I currently have in my garage.

 

My level of enjoyment in the game won't suffer at all and I don't expect WG to notice my decision or react to it in any way (aside from maybe increasing the frequency of the 30% discount coupon offers within the game).

 

It also means I'll focus more on playing through my backlog of STEAM games instead of focusing on credit and tank grinding in WOT over the holidays.

Yea, if they are nerfed to footlocker levels you will be a fool to get any boxes at all. But from what i have seen they will be as they always have been. So i hope they stick that way.

The last two years I have spent £55 each year (I think). Certainly no more. 

It seems a lot but, compared to a new X-Box game, for example, and considering how much I play it is not terrible value.

 

I think that the ONLY Premium tier VIII between the two years was the Skorpion G. I got several lower tiers and enough gold that the in-game value of everything I received was worth it- if any of it is actually worth spending on.

I will buy 1x75 + 3x 25 boxes for the gold and to get my festive atmosphere level (and so the bonuses) max from day 1. The gold and premium time should last me all year, so I am fine with it. I dont buy the boxes for the tanks, but any I get I will be happy about. I will also  buy some extra boxes for a couple of friends / clanmates

I'm planning to spend some of it on a Battle Pass for next season. I think BP and using some of my stock of personal reserves (topped up as stage rewards, of course) is going to make more sense for me as an occasional player than buying a year's premium time.

I annualy spend around 100 €. Gets me a year of premium and lots of gold. And some free tanks.
