Since there's a lot of crapflying around on the fora regarding all the things this game is lacking, myself having contributed a fair amount of this as well in recent years...However, I'm curious; what is it that makes you return to this game, what are the things that you enjoy most, despite the things that might be wrong with the game.

A non-functioning right side of the brain causing boredom. And the christmas event. And the clean, peaceful WG fest garage for reasons that will get moderated if I name them.

The way it captivates and lure people in despite being not a particularly outstanding game. It says a lot about the company, the genre and the player base. A lot of good things and a few bad ones too.

I met a bunch of friends on there. That's why I stuck around, mostly.

Not to mention, when good games happen, dopamine kicks in with full force.

When WG are not stealing from you by rigging the game, it can be quite good fun.  Sadly that's not very often these days.

To be fair when I see 3 red SPG's in my 110 I consider hugging a bush too, if for only a moment. Maybe the bush needs that hug, don't judge me.

Compared with many games, it is actually quite a good game, with the possibility of various routes to win, and the chance to actually enjoy the game even if you dont win.

Although the game obviously employs mechanisms, which are often derided, such as hit points, (like almost all games) they are actually fairly reasonable in their nature, unlike many games.

Although it is a commercial game, and has to make money, it is actually both less pay to win and less in your face about it than a lot of games.

You can play the game for a long time if you wish, the gameplay is varied enough to keep me interested, but you can also dip into it if you only have 15 min.

Again, unlike many games, you do not have to spend ages farming resources etc just to mark time, let alone progress: those people who complain about the "grind" have obviously never played the sort of game that you need hours a day just to feed your army.

The game is not controlled by a few superpowerful guilds, which you must either join and be a cog, or spend the whole game as a whipping boy.

Most importantly, it will just about run on my seriously potato computer/system.
