You didnt play the match. You sat at the back not helping or hid in your bush doing nothing the whole game untill the game was over.

New players need to learn how to

- play their tank corretly,

- Support their team members,

- not hide to lose.

If you do these 3 things you will not be called abot 99% of the time....

the term 'bot' means you are acting like a zombie player - where you are not doing anything of value and helping the enemy win.

What should be commended is that you've played this game for 7 years and played less that 2000 battles.

"Bot" is usually used in Wot for useless players, not for cheaters (whatever it is they imagine).

And to have a low win rate brings a lot of abuse from "serious" players.

You just smile and carry on, no big deal.

i haven't played this game for 7 years. , my Son started this account 7 yrs ago. probably didn't play it much. i installed the game and have started playing it to relieve boredom while in lockdown,  and have only been playing for about 5 - 6 weeks.

Glacier and you played a heavy tank. Where did you sit?

And start at Tier 1-5...

in my experience, nothing happens to people who are reported, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I was accused of cheating coz I ammo racked a t34 and he reported me for cheating...nothing happened.

incidentally my game play must have improved as I am no longer being asked to uninstall the game but I am being accused of being a bot or a cheater....welcome to the World of Tanks

Might I suggest OP, given your lack of experience, you take a little time to learn the game mechanics before jumping in at tier 8? Generally the quality of player increases as you go up the tiers and the games become more difficult. Tiers 5/6 are probably optimal for this.

Are you cheating?

If not then you have nothing to worry about, take it as a compliment.

Being accused of cheating is generally a compliment, being called a bot generally not (though sometimes it simply is someone who doesn’t understand what you are doing). Both can be equally ignored though.

,,bot,, means weak player, you are beginner via your stats..and well.. it it's common that sometimes more skilled players went into rage, that's probably what happens. Battle chat can be toxic..it it's PvP game...

being called a bot can just mean the person sending the messive is not really a good player and totally depends on you carrying them so they keep a 55% WR. They have to blame someone else as they can't believe they were at fault. You can usually tell from the after battle report, or where and how they died.

if someone was really being helpful they will tell you how to improve, ie why don't you look at the mini map, bot or stop hiding at the back and kill stealing, go spot and fight, bot

I always find the name callers were never skilled players!

Lets face it, you have to have a sub normal IQ to waste your time messaging an insult online.

The majority of name-callers in game chat, died early in the battle through their own mistake - they then rage and lay the blame on some other poor soul who's still alive and fighting.

thanks for replies. after reading various explanations i think i now understand what is going on. i am not very good at the game, although i did manage to kill 5 tanks in one battle, in my T6, lol.  but usually i am stuck for ideas of what i should do or where i should be on the map, and usually i end up either in the 'dead zone' in a slow tank, that takes forever to get me where i should be, or i find myself suddenly surrounded and outgunned, and quickly killed. whenever i am trying to be careful, and find a good place to either spot enemies or maybe try to ambush them, i get accused of being a bot. i at first thought 'bot' meant someone who can ''hack'' the game in some way.  certainly am not that good with computers, so no, i am not a hack. and i suppose if someone wanted to acuse me or report me for that, then it would come to nothing anyway. so i guess it is just sour grapes that they have a noob in the team who is fairly useless. i don't care about that, if they are such high ranked players then maybe they should be in a clan and playing in clan-only battles (if they exist). if not, then they should.  rant over. :):P

Just to be clear, the term 'bot' is an abbreviation of 'robot' and in relation to games, refers to software that attempts to emulate a human player (with varying degrees of success, depending on the sophistication of the programme). There are some actual 'bots' in WoT, usually seen in the early hours of the morning (2-5 am), often run for the purpose of grinding accounts to be sold on ebay.

The term is however, used in a derogatory way, to insult new or inexperienced players, who exhibit 'bot-like' behaviour, e.g. driving around aimlessly, hiding at the back of the map, wandering into the middle of an open space etc.

i prefer 'noob' , it seems acceptible in most other games to be called a noob, everyone has to start somewhere.  being accused of cheating is a whole different thing.
