I have played since 2014 and stopped in 2017 at 9000 battles and 49%win rate. In october 2020 I started again. since then I managed to get aome tier10 tanks, improve my stats a little and get some marks on the guns with E100, JpzE100, T92hmc and some other lower tiers.
My biggest problem is that I dropped in winrate at 48.7%. Sure I have played more with lights and mediums for personal missions and I got them up to t55a and I suck badly in this tanks especially in mediums. I played some battles in the Offspring one because I liked the voices and music and hit a few good matches and even a M award but mostly I did bad.
But I played heavy td and arty in wich I do ok most of the time and still they put me in the loosing team.
What can I do to raise my winrate?
I took a quick glance at your stats in WOT-Life and this is my summary for you.
As far as I can tell, you suffered from the same problem I had when I came back to WOT.
1. Your map knowledge is poor atm, hence you are not positioning, relocating and anticipation enough to improve your win rate. This is evident from you doing very well in heavily armor tanks at tier 6 and 7. As soon as you move to tier 8, 9 and 10, your lack of knowledge is telling from your stats. This is also very telling from your damage per game as your top 15 best DPG tanks are either TDs, artillery or heavy tanks.
2. Your medium tanks manage an average of 3 shots per game. This could be you not knowing your tank and the tanks you face. Without watching you play, I can only guess this conclusion.
My advice for you.
1. Watch replays. http://wotreplays.eu/
2. Ask yourself the following questions while you watch the replay.
a) why did he decided to do what he just did.
b) guess what will happen next (anticipation)
c) watch where the player is shooting (slow down the replay if require).
3. Watch some youtube videos. The following are very good as they explain their decisions. (Lemmingrush, Taugrim, Skill4ltu)
4. Watch your own replay, especially the really good and bad games. Good games show you what and how you should play. Bad games show you where you need to improve and what decisions not to take.
I hope it helps and remember, WOT is a game so enjoy it.
