I have played since 2014 and stopped in 2017 at 9000 battles and 49%win rate. In october 2020 I started again. since then I managed to get aome tier10 tanks, improve my stats a little and get some marks on the guns with E100, JpzE100, T92hmc and some other lower tiers.

My biggest problem is that I dropped in winrate at 48.7%. Sure I have played more with lights and mediums for personal missions and I got them up to t55a and I suck badly in this tanks especially in mediums. I played some battles in the Offspring one because I liked the voices and music and hit a few good matches and even a M award but mostly I did bad.

But I played heavy td and arty in wich I do ok most of the time and still they put me in the loosing team.

What can I do to raise my winrate?

Each game when you die ask yourself why you died and don't do that thing again.

This is true both in the game and outside of it. Some of the best people in history died of old age and they never repeated that mistake. :great:

The small details can all add up, so crews, tactics, equipment, choice of tank, etc. Don't overlook a thing, get the best crew, chose the tanks with the highest WR, and always think how to be influential and think of when to wait and when to advance. Also stop playing tier X, or even tier IX.

My main advice is to not care much about your win ratio, or activelly thinking "I need to win this battle" and so on. Instead focus on improving your own gameplay as much as posible and at the same time dont bother judging other peoples plays

By premium ammo. From Tier 4 to T8 it will give you a great advantage.

At T 9-10, it appears to be mandatory if you read posts here and there.

If you think about what you actually do when you play, and look at replays when you fail. then your winrate will improve.

Tbh. Stick to what works for you, as besides platooning. That's the 2nd best thing. What is your style that you like and that works along with a tier that works. E100 doesn't seem to be working too well for you, nor does the E25. Have you asked yourself why? Teams sure, but that's not all of the losses, are they? So be honest with yourself and try to figure out why. Don't have to say it here. E25 has low pen and is a tricky tank to get working, if you are too passive on your positioning, the impact it can make will be less. As if you figure out why you lose all the time by not looking at the teams. You might figure out why the WR on them is what it is and see if you can make them work better.

If not, then sticking to what works that you can make an impact with can work better. T92 oddly enough does. KV-2, O-I, KV-3, heck even the T37. As these are all tanks with more than 100 or 50 games you have a 60% WR in vs 45%. So either it's due to getting carried, or your ability to impact the game is better. If it's the last one, stick to them for a bit vs the tanks that don't work. And if you play solo, that's the tanks you have to find. If you can't impact the game in your E100. Then it won't be good for your WR improvement etc. So you gotta find a style that works, and find the tanks that work with that style vs playing tanks that don't work for you the same way.

This isn't true at all. I use no premium ammo in tier 9 & 10 unless I am absolutely forced too due to playing against something I cannot pen such as hull down tanks. Even then I'm happy to spam them with some HE first to see if they decide camping in that spot is a good idea

If you want to boost your winrate, NEVER PLAY ARTY.

What can I do to raise my winrate?

I took a quick glance at your stats in WOT-Life and this is my summary for you.

As far as I can tell, you suffered from the same problem I had when I came back to WOT.

1. Your map knowledge is poor atm, hence you are not positioning, relocating and anticipation enough to improve your win rate. This is evident from you doing very well in heavily armor tanks at tier 6 and 7. As soon as you move to tier 8, 9  and 10, your lack of knowledge is telling from your stats. This is also very telling from your damage per game as your top 15 best DPG tanks are either TDs, artillery or heavy tanks.

2. Your medium tanks manage an average of 3 shots per game. This could be you not knowing your tank and the tanks you face. Without watching you play, I can only guess this conclusion.

My advice for you.

1. Watch replays. http://wotreplays.eu/

2. Ask yourself the following questions while you watch the replay.

a) why did he decided to do what he just did.

b) guess what will happen next (anticipation)

c) watch where the player is shooting (slow down the replay if require).

3. Watch some youtube videos. The following are very good as they explain their decisions. (Lemmingrush, Taugrim, Skill4ltu)

4. Watch your own replay, especially the really good and bad games. Good games show you what and how you should play. Bad games show you where you need to improve and what decisions not to take.

I hope it helps and remember, WOT is a game so enjoy it.

  1. Figure out your preferred play style and stick to vehicles that specialise in it.
  2. Read the minimap! All the time!
  3. You play tanks, not static guns. Reposition when necessary!
  4. Always try to deal at least as much damage as your tank has hit points, if not more.
  5. Avoid playing artillery, as it's too team-dependent, and avoid being too passive with tank destroyers.
  6. Don't yolo. Never go full yolo, even if your tank is a one-shot kill. Keeping your gun in the game is vital.
  7. Pick terrain that favours your tank, not your opponent's tank.
  8. Platoon with friends that enjoy using voice comms and coordinating with you. Nothing beats a well-coordinated platoon.
  9. Learn the maps! You can do this by playing or watching replays and streams, especially from skilled players who explain their decisions in detail.

And most importantly...

E25 I have used for some missions along the way like ramming lights and pushing forward alone not caring about being destroyed, just to aquire the goal of the mission.

E100 I used for the heavy missions to bite shots and it worked well enough to get 1 mark with it but no good win rate.

JpzE100 like the E100 for the TD14 and TD15 missions mainly and I like playing this even if winrate is low I still got 1 mark on it.

UDES3 is my favorite td. I have 1 mark and I am at 78% so with a little luck I may be able to get a second mark but still winrate is low on it (strange).

OI is my favorite heavy now but is tier 6 and not so good for missions but now that I acomplished t55a missions I will play it more often.

T49 I used for missions. At first I hated lights but I have bounded with the T49, still I need something with more camo.

The Offspring tank I played just for the sound effects. I'm no good at mediums and I don't think I will. Still hate them.

I like to play arties too. It's fun for me, even if they strike me when I'm in a heavy I don't mind. Still hate the mediums.

I will try to use less often tier 10 tanks and get some premium ammo for the tier 6-7, play OI more because it's a more armored KV2, buy back KV3 maybe.

But I still think it's hard for one single player to turn around a 15 vs 15 game because I play alone mostly, rarely in a platoon. And the game bad RNG is drawing my winrate down mostly.

And does those marks on the guns matter? or even if I get them on a tank it may not be the right tank for me?

So that would be it then, you seem to focus on missions vs the battle at hand? As that's been your reason for everything. Take a break from them for a bit and enjoy the game and let the missions come as they do. If you focus on the fights vs say risking a ram to be taken out early just for a mission. Then that's why you fail more often. Just play normally and let the missions come. Find you fun tank first, find your style and figure out what works for you. If you just focus on missions, it will drop your WR.

A tank that's right for you should not be compared to how others do in it, as that's what the marks are. And some tanks need way more to get 1 mark on vs others. But rather focus on how you do in it vs your other tanks. Do you have fun playing it? Can you impact the game and do at least your own HP in damage or assist? If no... then it's not the right tank for you regardless of marks.

If you like playing it, like the feel of it, feel you can make an impact and win more often, and don't feel useless even with no marks. Then that's what you need to focus on.

skill4ltu and dakillzor are excellent players, but it's useless for a noob since they play high tiers with OP tanks (mostly) and know excalty when to use standard ammo and premium ammo.

Its interesting for map awarness, but they usually do not explain things about game mechanics likes : armor, penetration, camo...

Why do you want to get your win rate up? Does it bother you if you lose more than you win?

In that case you will need to improve, and everything stated here is mostly true for improving, but you also need to understand why you make certain moves/decisions.

Surviving while being active/useful is the key.

And if you just want to play and have "fun", they just keep doing what you are doing, and you will be just another drop in the bucket. Do not forget, a big majority of wot players are roughly where you are.

...and some are working quite hard to reach that all elusive 30something % win rate.
