Fully blocking HE shell damage still won't count to damage blocked... why? It's such a stupid decision. It makes getting certain missions so damn hard because people spam HE as much as premium when you get in a tank with armour. But when I fully block a HE shell I get 0 for it to make up the chunks of health lost when I do take damage? Stupid.

11. Will the changes to HE shells affect the shells of SPGs?

No, these are separate developments that are not interconnected. The damage mechanics for SPG HE shells and standard HE shells will be different.

I wonder how differently, would you ultimately increase the firepower of Arty?

I love the game but this is garbage

why are you trying to fix stuff that works well in this game

Not being able to shoot under tanks with HE will be a big blow to those that used their heads and did it.

We know how important Premium tanks are for players, and that's why we don't want to change their technical characteristics. We're not planning to modify the characteristics of any vehicles or their shells. The change will only affect the mechanics of HE damage infliction. However, we will study battle performance indicators of Premium vehicles individually and make any necessary adjustments based on the test results, should they be necessary.

 

Is this answer trying to tell me that it's not a problem that the KV-2 R now deals half of its previous damage in practice, since on paper its HE still has the same pen and alpha? I don't want to start a debate whether premium tanks should be rebalanced or not in general, but the above seems a weak and somewhat disrespectful reasoning to me.

(EDIT: On a second thought, one could argue that the same happens when the meta shifts (read: powercreep), but I still feel this change is drastic and sudden enough to make me reject the reasoning chosen by WG.)

How can you ignore the fact the new HE penetrates tracks and screens? The new HE, BY DESIGN, is much more consistent at dealing high damage to lightly armored vehicles. These answers simply don't feel right to me.

and literally nobody had issues with HE, so that is being worked on

My opinion: High explosive shells should always do splash damage within a specific sphere (of course caliber depending), not only at the point of impact.

No matter if HE is fired by Arty or a normal tank - the effect should  be the same, otherwise it is technically not logic

Just keep HE mechanics the same! But to make spall liner useful, if a tank equipped with one is hit by HE then use the new HE mechanics with no splash. So if taking big HE shell hits bothers you, just use spall liner for real HE damage reduction!

However, also keep the new mechanic of shells are now able to penetrate screens, tracks, and small obstacles.

Typical war gaming instead of addressing issues that the player base want fixed they decide to overhaul a game mechanic that most played don't have an issue with. Call me cynical but I think its just WG trying to make us shoot more gold.

Question about missions and tokens.

It says that we can complete the missions 5 times per stage. 
Right now it says "NO MISSIONS AVAILABLE"

so this means im done with the current phase? I dont understand where i see how much i have completed or not.

Everybody: "what about E B Rs, gold ammo and arty".............................................................2-3 years and still nothing. To be realistic here you really need to sort your priorities WG. Jokers

Once you are finished a set of missions, you will have to wait for the next day. After that, the next set of missions unlocks. Rinse and repeat.

spall liner is useless anyway

NO NO NO AND NO NO NO STOP WASTING TIME WITH NONSENSE.

 

Here's a much more meaningful idea.

 

You want to change the types of shells, here is an easy and balanced solution only fot Tier 10 is this.

 

1. Ordinary projectiles fast between 1000 m and 1500 m per second with a normal penetration of 250 to 270 penetration, making for example 500 dm.

2. Golden slow 650 m. To 800 m. Per second with high penetration 290 to 320 doing half the damage of the usual 250 dm.

3. Explosive HE slow from 650 m to 800 m per second penetration 60 to 100 doing explosive damage as they are now but we did from 200 to 600 dm. main purpose breaking parts it tanks from the chain to injuring the crew. If it breaks the armor, otherwise at least dm 150.

 

This will teach people to use all shells, not just gold.

Yeah, that feel when WG dosen't play it's own game, like just look at that pen in their video on the 50b through the tracks, from the front and into the hull from that angle, yeah "I see nothing wrong with that". YEP that will definitely not affect all the tanks that have no side armor lol... Just WG things I guess.:D:facepalm:
