Again they hinted Classic WoT in nearly the exact same date when they hinted the original one, these Well Deserved Reward videos hinted the Classic event for the first time
Let's hope now it's something real
11th Anniversary of WoT is closing in, about 1 week and they will release the first teaser video of it, if something is coming, it will be on the video.

I read something around a year ago about separate client events, WG made a state if it comes it will be in the main client. I have no clue why they refuse to make a separate client for Classic.
Can anyone confirm this statement happened?

Classic WoT was not that good, it all lives from memories and the surrounding community. The community and the game changed, WoT Classic will never be the same as you might experienced it. Also you can not really figure out which version WoT Classic should be, the one without physics or the one from closed beta or the one without t10 spgs and so on...

Console WoT has the old maps, old matchmaking and old artys and I still enjoy it much more... Old mechanics were much better than the current ones. The new mm formulas and stun is just broken and never worked as intended.

About the versions. They could've switch the versions like how it happened back than so it won't be monoton.

why would half of the team made from arta?

And don't come to me with the bad mm conclusion. The arty spam was fake as hell. Listen, the EXP progression was boosted, it took like 40minutes to grind out a tier8 arty because it took around 20k exp.
Now imagine to grind the original 1 million EXP for a top tier arty, 90% of the players would stop in tier6 with artys and a lot of them would just sell theirs 'cus grinding is not fun in arty.

With the Original progression system Classic WoT would work perfectly for 2-3 years than they should introduce the 3-3 arty limitations like how it happened in real WoT life. If they would switch versions occasionly there would be ton of content in it.

Lol the arty spam wasn't fake at all, we had so many matches with above 10 spgs. Also the mechanics are the same. Pen-mechnanic did not really change much, spotting did for better and physics is great. I dont want to block Lakevill mid road with a single tank cause u can push wrecks.

 

If you like the console gameplay, go play console. Also the original progression system was okay at the beginning, but when you want to achieve a wide playerbase it needs to be simplified. Thats just the way most gamers play nowadays and if a company wants to earn a shitload of money they go this way.

i agree they could bring back an old wot. i think the 2012 wot should be brought back because the game wasn't very rudimentary then but it wasn't spoiled either. Nowadays I play 1-2 times a month because I'm bored of the recent idiot events ... I would be very happy to try the old wot again
