Silly Slyspy; dragging putrid stuff is what you keep a supply of slaves and/or prisoners of war for!

And in case the pow´s/slaves get sick you fire "live" ammunition which then will even scream like a stuka on a bombing run, for an even larger moral devastating effect.

It's here to demoralize your opponents when they realize even arty is goldspamming them.

Well they're successful in it then....cause i got demoralized when even arties shoot gold...

Yep. Got a stubborn castle that refuses to give in? Lob a few plague infected corpses over the wall and see how clever they feel in a month or two.

Didn't the army that besiege the enemy city get the disease too ??? when they load these corpses to catapult...? you know we are talking about medieval ages...so everything is possible when it comes to health/medical things :D

POW carry the disease corpses onto the catapult, climb in themselves and you pull the string, perfectly clean operation

Quite probably. Life was cheap back then.

Didn't they use catapults with dead cows, or corpses in general, in medieval sieges to demoralize the enemy? And potentially cause a spreading disease.

Indeed, i've been told of mongols using herds of cattle as an ammunition against besieged cities.

The blast radius may only be 1-2m extra but when you consider the area of a circle is pi times the square of the radius even 1m extra represents a significant amount of extra coverage.

Now consider that the way to farm Frontline rank points is to splash tanks in the cap circle and you can start to see the value. Add to that Frontline throws credits at you like they're nothing and there's little reason to not fire gold shells.

I play my M40/43 firing exclusively gold whilst watching YouTube and I can assure you that arty + gold shells in Frontline is easy General rank if your team is even vaguely competent.

Thank you for the reasoning and insight on use of gold HE shells in non-competitive modes. I can somewhat understand your logic when shooting such extra-blast-radius shells in cap circles in a FL match for quick rank progression, but in my example, I was shot while defending (not in cap) in FL and in 7v7 (not capping or anything). It could be that the arty player only loaded gold HE shells and simply kept shooting those. But in 7v7, T10 arties would lose a lot of credits for such wasteful use of gold HE shells for barely any return in XP.

I did find your watching Youtube while playing arty funny (and sad in a way).

So they don't need to hit you to kill half of your crew and modules with one of those shells.

That is nice of them; some fresh beef would be very welcome in a starving city. :great:

I'm still waiting for diseased-corpse-plague-ammo to show up in the premium shop.

When, WG, when?

1. bigger dmg;

2. more radius(writes on the tag, too)

spammed full gold when I had to do all the stupid internal module missions for 279. Expensive af; but, in the end, you have less arty to play. So worth every penny.
