I don't leave house without it.

Basic game UI has improved massively, but XVM gives some advantages without which I feel blind and deaf in the game, I don't even watch youtube replay channels that don't use XVM:

- 50m proximity circle

- easy to identify anonimized tryhards (they show up white). Some of them turn out to be 44% mouthbreathers hiding from WN8 shaming, but after 2 mins you know which is which. important to identify dangerous targets before engaging in a brawl where one of you has some advantage. One game lately with defender in tier 10 MM on ruinberg I knew to rush blue bourrasque in the alley and sacrifice myself killing it while ignoring tomato red 121 dinging shots in my [edited]. we won that battle, and in tier 10 fights I have no useful role whatsover.

- better icon to show which enemies are spotted or never spotter (lamp instead of a dot)

- better hitlog

- you can draw genitals on the map

They managed to add that to the maingame. The rest is nothing i would consider valuable anyways, but to each their own. As long as i can use the anonymizer.

Never tried XVM, however I like to investigate in post-game stats.

For those of us who simply can't get enough of statistics and numbers, XVM (and legal MODs) are great.

If it adds anything usefull except statistics to the game is a another discussion.

started to play vanilla WoT once players started to report of being banned for using legal modes (like 3 years now or something). After WG reimplemented minimal improvements from XVM to native WoT I dont miss XVM at all.

That was extactly my feelings when I first started playing without it.

But once used to it, the gameplay becomes somehow more chill and enjoyable.

I am not as frustrated as I used to be, for not being able to achieve X color or Y winrate for each of my session.

I didn't know mods like XVM existed until way after 2000 battles. But I had mods explained to me and thought 'this isn't playing one-on-one' it's playing a game against little weasels who are using stats to big up their WR, not to mention the cheat mods that were/are available. So I've never used any mod whatsoever, and for that matter I don't platoon either, but I'd rather play against the mod users rather than join in with the scum.

I dont need xvm in the first 20 seconds of the game  i know enough to know who is good or suck.

and 90%of the time i am right.

And its not always the whole team  that sucks.....what i see nowadays is teams losing becuase they have 3 horrible top tiers.

Or have a LT that plays for itself and refuse too spot out the last enemy Td's. (in the end game)

if you got good lower and midtiers you will lose close or win close.

if you also got some noob midtiers the battle will go fast and its over.

I ran XVM for about 6 months about 3 years ago.

Not worth the aggro IMHO. Every bad player can have a good game and vice versa. You simply can not predict the future and even knowing who statistically is the best player doesn't help.

But most importantly is what it does do is affect how people who have it running play the game. It can stop good players on your own team taking the current game seriously as XVM says you have no chance to win. You then go on to win because the best players on the other team have a bad game. OR it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy as 3 or 4 players on your team give up and you lose

All in all I think the game would be a better environment without it, but of course that is just my opinion.

You can scratch that one from your reasons since it's now in the vanilla game.

since the anonymizer went live i went for it and it was GG for xvm for me.

however i was forced to revead my identity in games to keep using XVM because i just cant stand the noobs in the game.

with no disrespect, they can play the game but at leat i know what kind of players ar around me. and i mean mostly my team.

there are antics like i negotiated with T57heavy that i will go around corner, take a shot and we kill enemy tank.

i went. took the shot. dude moved and each of his shots did 50+ dmg (of course he had HE loaded)

not anymore

Not been using XVM, got fed up updating Aslains, and most of those old mods are now in the client, most of us should worry about our own gameplay instead of others before thinking of XVM as having any merrit.

It has been a very long time since I last used XVM statistics in any form; specifically, ever since Anonymizer was introduced to the game (partly because I use it myself, if only to [edited] with XVM win-chance calculations). But even if you refer to the whole mod package, there are very few things I only "need" anymore; specifically, it's only the automatic crew relocation aspect of it that I "need" in my garage. Other than that, the only mods I use are only cosmetic (eg. engine and gun sounds) or garage-oriented (eg. battle hits viewer, replays manager and trash seller). The day is coming fast when I will stop using mods entirely.

One thing I noticed when I did stop using it. Is that I did not approach each target based on his color and tank. But rather I approached all based on their actions and tank, and everyone else the same way. It works way better in the long run.

Overlord beach, 99% chance the player(s) is(are) waste of oxygen. No xvm needed.

I know that the general perception is to stay away from beach and i don't go there myself except to counter a potential breakthrough BUT.......

....c'mon guys, how many times have you seen a push over the beach succeeding against those odds? Imo it happens surprisingly often. So much even that it slowly starts to seem a viable option.

And XVM...never used it, never missed it for a second.

I dont need xvm to aim for obj279, t95fv4201, conscept 1b. With 92hmc i dont even have to hit'em.

Never. I do, however have a few fresh replays to show you what happens when beach boys try to push out to the other side (which is by that point completely dominated by the enemy team).
