The AMX 13 75 is decent enough to stop at.
Good speed and mobility, good radio range and view range.
Not that bad of a gun for what you will use it at.

The AMX 13 90 is still my favorite though. If you don't mind going an extra tier. It is worth it.
Packs a hell of a punch, and it's just as mobile if not more, then it's lower tier brother.

Sadly the AMX 12t is rather sad.
Suffers from poor acceleration and mobility, and the gun is nothing amassing either.
Also has terrible radio range. 410 if i remember right.
And the matchmaker. Of god. Poor thing will often find T8 and T9 tanks. Can even find T10 if I remember right. I remembered wrong :P

Ok, so do you think AMX 13 90 is the tank to stop at? I do mind going another tier if I loose money on it. Do you loose money on it? B)

It's the one I'm stopping at.
Amassing tank. And If I remember they are all weighted as normal tiers, as opposed to the T5 lights.
So you can maybe consider running costs similar to ... I don't know, T20 maybe?

Bites a hell of a lot harder then a t20 though ;)

Hehe, tier 9 is bad enough :P
Yeah, if the AMX 12t will get into tier 9 battles there is no reason for not to continue. Does it has the same matchmaking as other tier 5 tanks?
Edit: Just saw it didnt

Go for the tier 6 :)

Its better in all aspects. Since it has more damage per shot and there is a huge penetration and huge accuracy difference and  and that for almost the same ROF (you loose only 1 shot per minute and the aiming time is the same) it makes more money that the tier 5 (more damage+ penetrates more often+ you miss a lot less = more income and more profit despite the slightly higher repair cost)

The matching is almost the same :o I have never been in a tier 6 battle with the AMX 12t (i know its possible, since i've seen a replay of it, but in 42 battles with the 12t i've NEVER been in a t6 battle myself (so they are really rare), the best was one battle with only 1 t7 on both sides) and i also already had a battle with the AMX13 75 where there was only 1 t7, so you will fight the same opponents most of the time.

The AMX12t has no gun evaluation, neither depression (you can't aim much up or down), despite the fact that the 13 75 hasn't evaluation either it has really good gun depression IMHO (so at least you can get in hull down positions from time to time and you don't have to get over the smallest bump to shoot an enemy)

The AMX13 75 is faster and i think it also has better acceleration and mobility and it has slightly more view range and it has an enormous advantage in radio range (400 !! meter MORE radio range than the 12t)

And last but not least you can finnally take at least 1 shot with the 13 75 without dieing, because of the matching everything 1 shottd you in the AMX12 (and you are still as small as the 12t), you don't have much life in the 75 either, but as i said at least they need 2 shots (except arty of course)

It has a special one.
According to the chart:

AMX 12t -> tier 7-10 battles

The other 2 seem to have normal MM for their tier/class

AMX 13 75 -> tier 8-12 battles (close to the tier 5 scouts of other nations)
AMX 13 90 -> tier 10-13 battles

Overall I'll suggest you do a search on the replay section for "AMX" and watch some replays of the tanks, and see which one you end up loving the most. :Smile_honoring:

"Tank"s for replies and votes. Ive already decided that will get the AMX 13 75 and might even the AMX 13 90.

When driving the 12t you always think that the tank would be good with: a bit better gun elevation, 30% more penetration and damage with better acceleration and a good radio for scouting.

Then you get the 13/75 and it has all those while getting put in similar tier battles.

13/75 is a situational tank that you need to pefect hit and run tactics for. I seem to get either 100 exp or 1000 exp per battle in it. When in a bad place it is very vulnerable but can be leathal when you get it right.

The 12t is mostly just a weak tier 5 scout but can be good when the battle unfolds favourably for you.

i would not mind what tier i find my 12t fighting if i could just look up and shoot , elevation is chronic in that thing there is room on the back of the turret for another 10 deg i would say if not more but it stops at a point where unless you have a pool table map its at a huge disadvantage
, i hope and is the 13/75 better elevation ?

I've not played the AMX12T, but seeing as it gets pitched in the same matches as my AMX13/75 I think we can safely say the latter is better and more fun (as the gun is better).

I can tell you for a fact that when you're riding on fully upgraded AMX13/75 on Himmelsdorf, you feel like a prison rapist.
You go around the map searching for some booty, and when you find one careless individual baring his ass at you, then you're going to make him feel like a virgin and GTFO as soon as he tries to turn his turret to shoot you.

Flanking with this tank is very rewarding.
You do have to make sure that nobody sees you coming or they'll shiv ya.

The 13-90 is best just because the matchmaker tops out - there aren't many tier 13 battles so it often tends to end up in mostly the same matches as the 13-75.  basically a 13-75 is good against up to a tier 8 heavy, and a 13-90 can manage tier 9's.  However as there are hardly any tier 10's playing and there is no such thing as a tier 11 the 13-90 is mostly up against tanks it can be really useful against where as 13-75 has much more chance of meeting 9's and the odd 10 it can't do much about.

AMX 12 can be a nice tank when you get used to it. Then you get the AMX 13 75 and it is just better at everything, with a relatively similar MM. I think it is one of the most obvious cases when a new tank feels like a real upgrade without downsides.

What you say is that AMX 12t is a tank in which you learn how to use cannon with autoloader, basics of scouting and using your maneouvrability, so you can quickly adapt to 13 75, right?

No possible hesitation, everything the 12t can do, the 13 75 can do better and with a better matchmaking.

tier 9 is ok if u sneak from behind while the top tier is busy doing sm1 else frontally ...

OK that sounds a bit dirty but it works!

I hated amx12 and i love amx 13-75, it's not so big difference on paper but where amx12 is a useless turd in 90% of the matches the amx 13-75 works really fine and the poor sod that doesnt show u respect gonna regret it.

there are big difference:
+50% hp.
+50% penetration.
+0.7 dispersion.
+/-5° gun depression.

just that make a HUGE difference.

They are both quite challenging to drive and fight with.

However, I find the 13/75 much better of course. Especially once fully researched and equipped.
The FL-10 turret of the 13/75 is better too. Due to similar oscillating design it's still limited in elevation; but better then 12t's.

As a side-note: they both look great. Personally I find the whole oscillating turret based designs as the best looking ones. They look ahead of their time and quite modern/futuristic compared with the traditional ones. It's exactly why I love French tank designs and the French approach to it. Just like with the L'Éclerc these days...
