So, I'm getting a free laptop for use at school and home, no budget but a demand to be reasonable!
This laptop i found fits the only requirement. I already know if the laptop will do OK as a student PC.

It's an ASUS X53SC - SX496V 15,6" Intel Core i7

The basic specs are as follows:

15,6" LED-skjerm
Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 520M
4 GB DDR3 RAM
500 GB harddisk
Full HD by HDMI
2 years warranty

I just need to know how well this laptop would do on games like World of Tanks and World of Warcraft (and perhaps even World of Warplanes later on)

Im a casual gamer and as such won't spend time on more than one game in a period of time, starting with WoT for now.

Thanks!  :Smile_harp:

really bad graphics card but rest seems to be fine
you should be able to play wot on medium or high with costum settings and you can play any game on minimum

Ah, alright. I don't care much for graphics but i might need a better graphic card for working with media.
What i care for is smoothness of gameplay in terms of consistant frames per second...

Remember that this would be a school & home laptop mainly for study. I'm sitting with a 6 years old business laptop playing WoT on low graphics with a consistant 20fps. Its not much but i know better gaming is ahead, just gotta wait  :Smile_harp:

WoW can be run on a toaster, as much as I know. Even my N150p notebook can run it at 15fps and that is saying a lot. WoT can cause troubles due to the application using only one core, tho, so be careful. A few of my friends also mention the somewhat large strain on the cooling system.

I advise searching for a laptop that has the GT540 instead of the GT520. WoT runs fine on my laptop which has about the same specs outside of the graphics card
