What about the Recon mode?  I see no mention of that in the article.

You need to hire some new map designers, or at least go outside and have a look at the world.

Unfortunately we still have no updates on the mode. We will keep you updated once we have any news or when the mode is ready to be added back :)

I've tried some of the new maps (not all of them) in your Recon Mission mode (which was a complete failure).

 

And what I experienced? More corridors with usless and unplayable middle part of the map? Same old stupid design. How original...

 

You should fix and balance maps which are already in the game... Some of them are just unplayable with broken bushes and completely bad map design which in this case gives a huge advantage to one of the teams...

 

Also, your main and only priority should be fix the game and not create more mess which will be ignored in the future...

the continuous 3 terain type maps that is repeated ... one open space for lights/fast meds and tds, one closed corridor for the "i can block u all with turret)  heavies and one coridor that is for tough meds that cannot compete with fast lights/meds/tds  , neither the heavies.... 

 

way too repeptitive in the last maps u implemented...

Too bad you decided to replace the two Bismarck class BBs from the 2018 version of that map with some generic cargo ships. But i guess two German battleships wouldn't really fit on a post war Japanese map.

PS: Damn, the map music is awesome. Good job!

I understand but keep in mind that we also need to offer areas where tanks can take cover, some vantage points for TD and sniper tanks but it doesn't mean that you can not break the "rules" and surprise the enemy team :sceptic:

None of the new maps introduced in the last 3 years I like, gladly there were not many of them, so GJ on not braking anything too much. This is the first new map for like a year, why haven't you balanced existing maps within this time? Small changes on one map at a time don't count, like on Ruinberg where you did a bad change and now reverting it. I don't trust your balancing teams, neither with tanks, maps, equipment or crews.

I don't like the idea of one map to suit all tank classes and you keep doing this on all new maps. Map created like this will be always repetitive and you always have to play it in the same way or you lose. Just make maps that are not suitable for everyone and allow player to remove maps for a tank class. It's painful to play LTs and Arty on city maps. Also, all new maps are mirrored, at least it easier to keep a map balance this way.

again with the goldpammey heavy line, the EBR turbo scout open middle, and the "I wonder which side the mediums are going to flank this time :P" flank...

 

New content is always appreciated as long as it enhances the gameplay experience, but before spending any more time or thought on this game, I'd really prefer to get a glimpse into the roadmap WG has for their World of Tanking a Company project. Also, if WG is not capable to copy/paste a working Recon mode from the current random mode - just with different maps and limited tiers - I have to admit that I'm worried.

Is Kislyi still there somewhere? I'd like to see him in a public appearance to at least pretend that WG is still somewhat confident in their own Driving-Down-A-Corridor-Simulator.

i will give the map decorators top marks, they do look good.

shame they play like poop, same 3 corridor locations with essentially zero cross corridor interaction. oh i nearly forgot the unplayable expanse for 'openness' 

 

or as in recon every engagement will be a 75m brawl favouring the hardest turret

less to no cover would be required, if there was only one SPG on each team. Also, instead of cutting off separate lanes/corridors using impassable terrain (buildings, mountains, lakes,...), it would be nice to see an open map (remember, there is max. 1 SPG in this dream) where the general topography/profile of the map alone would provide some cover, yet allow crossing the terrain wherever strategically convenient.

2 out of 3 tank games are doing this rather well.

and why does this map not need testing ? 

 

Can u tell us how many new maps are in the pipeline for this year. Cause if u want to impress me, ten is the minimum number im looking at

A New Map from WG!

 

that means 2 things

..........................................  with yet even more dumb Corridors ~ for Heavy Tank press 'W' for 'Comfortable play'

                                                                             ...........................  and yet again, almost the entire Middle of Map is completely unplayable, wasted and useless for anything except quick Suicides

 

WG your just so good to us :mellow:

Wait and see , but when see the map explained with all the area's designated to certain tank types is exactly how WG should not be making maps .

Release some good desert maps how hard can this be .

 

I want see release of easy mapmaking tool for community and then a nice mapmaking contest .

 

Also it remains bit strange that this map was not in Recon mode and problems with Recon mode take this long to fix .
