I dont get it why the heck do i end up being above tier 8 tanks in MM.

Whats the deal with that ? AMX 90 is supposed to be tier 7 not 8.

My AMX 90 is still stockie so its a pain in the ass =/

because amx 13/90 eats most of the tier 8 mediums, I killed also several Pattons from 100.

chaffee also get above lets say M6.... and noone cries while chaffee requires more skill than amx

The AMX 13/90 is designed in WoT to perfectly play as lowdog. In fact it's better for your team to have you as lowdog than topdog. this tan is not made for leading anycharge or manoeuver, just waiting opportunities to assassinate lone (damaged) tanks, make TDs regreat to not stay with their mates, sneak into ennemy base dring battle and spot/kick the arty. Sometime just staying in a good location and light ennemy tanks location with its good viewrange with binos.

The amx90 is the kind of tanks light tanks are for me, its fragile like all light tanks but it pack enought punch to be a tthreat to anyone even tier 10.

I'm only in the 13/75 in my account cant wait to get this op as hell tank.

If he get is usual matchmaking were he is bottomdog its ok, if you get mid or topdog you are the biggest threat in pure dps of all the tanks.

As said before assasinate and ambush and you can easily rack 5 or 8 kills all alone and its almost imposssible with any other tank

Of course the 13/90 with the 90mm gun is dangerous, but gets easily killed by arty or when tracked. The troll-KV can one-shot you with HE (with a bit of luck for sure, usually you have after a hit 200hp left). If you can run into the enemy fast and get out with one shot left (for defense) it is extremely dangerous. It can kill off a lot of enemies in a single sweep.

The best way to counter the AMX13/90 with the 90mm gun is an AMX13/90 with the 75mm somehow. The reload time on the 75 is about 16s, while the 90 needs about 39s. As I count the shots by the French tanks I attack them while they reload. I suspect the 13/90 to have the 90mm, which was a fatal mistake once or twice if you dont make your shots count ;)

The AMX 13-90 is a monster a monster feared by every single tier 10 except maybe Maus's.

Look at it this way, use it as an ambush predator, with the 90mm, you can readily (assuming you aim correctly) punch holes in the arse of any tank in the game (except the Maus, I cant seem to find any weakpoint to take advantage of), and through the sides of most.

You will rape any scout with 3 or 4 shots, can readily kill a Type 59 with a full mag, and arty, they know if you get amongst them, they are so totally dead its quite funny.

I'm far from the best i've seen with the 13-90, but I average over 1k xp per battle with it and my win rate is currently about 64%.

One of the things about it that is great is people's reactions to it.

They either ignore it and carry on focusing on their current target.... BIG MISTAKE...

Or they start turning to track  you, as you use cover and speed to avoid their fire, at which point (hopefully) your team mates pop round the corner at unleash hell on them. Either way, if an AMX flanks you, you have a problem...

Also killing Tier 9 TD's is excellent fun, hell even had 1 Jagtiger so jammed up, I spent the entire 40 secs of the reload timer, just making him turn and move, before finally it says loaded and night night JT. Do the same to T95's and Objects too :)

And those extra 400 HP's mean you can take a hit from anything short of arty and still get in their tracks and kill them.

My AMX13-90 is a total keeper tank and will stay in my garrage all the time its as nice to drive as it is.. most fun tank I have :)

Yeah.
Chaffee's lowest fights have tier 7's on the top, so +2 tiers, and if it's an open map those games are like candy in it.
AMX 13 90 actually gets games with tier 8 tanks on top sometimes, so +1 tier, and that's a bit unfair....to the tier 8 tanks  :Smile-playing:

I just arrived at the AMX 13 90 and it is really insane. I already enjoyed its two predecessors, but the new gun is crazy. I just had 11 battles, without the good engine and some with the old gun, but it feels extremely strong, being my best tank with 1100+ avg xp. Does anyone know what the nerf will look like? I feel like it needs one, altough i'm a bit sad about it.

The only thing that really bugs me about this tank is the incredible amount of critical hits it gets, especially engine fires (I thought it was a Diesel engine?!).

Did you (and everyone else) noted, or it is just me? French shells are doing a hell lot of critical shots. Almost every second shot do something critical - tracks, engine, killing crew...

This AMX has also that one advantage beside 6 shells in a row. Most likely you will kill gunner or loader or you will destroy enemy gun. When I am not in French tank and get in clash with one, 100% chances are that he will broke 2 of my modules and kill at least 1 crew member with 6 shots.

I can confirm. After 4 or more shots from french my tank is usually only rolling frag.

What vehicle were you commanding?
I assume these "French sheels" are not hitting your front, but sides and rear.
I assume that this will happen with any other tank too, in case they can get to your sides and rear.
Keep in mind that the AMX 1390 has a 144-170mm penetration.

Driving a AMX 1390 -> armor 40/20/15 -> suggested Mantra "Do not get hit. ...", in case you do, a module or crew will be knocked out.

On average, i'm not really making what i would call a good profit. I don't think you could use it to grind for credits but to lose credits you would have to act completely stupid and just get killed in the first minute. There ARE battles where i can make 30 k profit but that's very very rare.

It has 8-9 k repair bill so being destroyed or not really matters. Plus very vulnerable to module or crew damage. If you lose your loader you simply have to use a medikit, unless you want 70 seconds reload.

You need to remember that you get the same credits whether you damage a Lowe or a KV, so use that gun to own lower tier enemies first if you wanna make sure you turn in a good profit. (Not that i encourage such behavior  on the amx 90 but it's a stupid system and that's the safer way to make money)

I'm also making a pretty decent profit on the Lorraine with the 90 mm gun so by all means, go up the tech tree.

For some reason the AMX 90 seems to put everything on fire, very nice when you play one yourselves extremly annoying when you meet one.

Solo'ed a T54 put him on fire twice, think he still rages.

After a while you learn to love the high tier matches more than the lower tier ones. In the lower tier ones they shoot faster and are more agile making you more susceptible to return fire. While those slow old dogs in the higher tiers just dont stand a chance.

it is a powerful tank, ive taken out IS7's E-100's IS4's T30's ect.. if you stick with a bunch of meds or a few heavies the top tiers dont really pay attention to you if there are bigger problems ahead. so using this oppertunity you can tear them appart. but the gun although powerful it has a habbit of bouncing some silly shots on tanks that should otherwise be penetrated. obviously when flanking a bigger tank you try and circle it avoiding its gun usually if the tank has a slow turret its even better and aim for the rear always, however engaging a Tiger last night 4 of my shots bounced off the rear of the tiger which was very frustrating indeed same happened again with an IS and a KV but then when you dont expect to do any damage to the likes of an IS4 you will strike gold. ive been suprised by this tank a few times and i am enjoying it but the repair costs are very high for a light tank and the winnings are pretty poor even on a good day.

i managed to defeat 5 AMX 13's in a match 3 90's and 2 75's with taking minimal damage, luckily friendly heavies were there as cannon fodder. but when oppertunites like that arise take them. but plan your escape route otherwise your doomed. that 40s reload time isnt your friend.
