Hello,

I am now playing regularly again and previously there was ping differences between the EU1 an EU2 servers at my location.

Basically - long story short - they both identical now - but I get auto joined onto EU1 100% of the time.

Is there any reason for this?

If not - can anyone (Constructively) tell me if there is a noticeable difference in player base between the 2 servers?

I.e. one server is more beginner friendly for high tier games or something like that?

Thanks IA

Main differences between the Servers are the different numbers in the name.  jokes aside.
I have noticed:

Depending on events exclusive to one Server, there are different playerbase playing on the Servers.

Example:

IF Ranked is on EU2.→I move to EU1 to clap ppl with ease.

The effect is less pronounced during the late hours

thank you - so are events - such as ranked - and the WT mode at the mode always on EU2 - or change between days etc?

I suspect most players, like me, connect on auto unless there is a problem so the player base will be largely randomised..

The main difference is their physical locations.

Events are on both servers, but some things (such as clan wars/Skirmishes) are primarily EU2. The only real difference is the location of the serves, hence why you'll see a difference in ping. For myself EU1 is around 20-40 ping, whereas EU2 is 50-70.

the WT is on 1&2 Servers i think.

But in general you will need to check every new ongoing event individualy on what server it is on. Normaly these events don't switch server during period its running.

EU1 is in my case always +-10%  better ping then EU2

In theory EU2 should have some higher skilled players in rotation on it as that's where Advances/ClanWars/Skirmishes happen.  Certainly swapping between servers (either way) can mix the pool up for you in a session.  The only main thing for me is a bit better ping from the UK on EU1.

just an update on this one - is there a reason why - I seem to be subject to more  toxicity on one server rather than the other?

BTW EU1 for me is a horrid experience - I get called lots of racist and anti-semantic names - this doesnt happen on EU2 - why is that?

BTW I do report them all - and blacklist also

That could be because you identify as being from UK (judging by your nick). Some players with little maturity may pick up on that and think they are Kool/clever/witty by doing so.

One answer would be to use the anomaliser.

yes, I'd not thought about that before - what a terrible small minded world we live in nowadays - Sorry for the simple question - how would I find the anomaliser in the game? Thanks.

i think it is in the general settings... something like "anonymise my name" or "use Anonymizer" idk how it is exactly called. but you will find it with ease. I think it has a symbol of crossed out eye.
