Greetings Tankers,

Update 1.15 CT1 is just around the corner on the Common Test Server, bringing few rebalancing changes to the Berlin map.

Feel free to drop your feedback on the map changes here, and report any bugs and technical issues on the server using the linked thread below :honoring:

Roll out!

If the update is this small, why not call it 1.14.2?

Or is there anything else in store?

An updated berlin... I mean that is nice so thanks but does that justify the version number 1.15? This feels more like a 1.14.2?

There must be something else in store...

WoTs graphics department has been silent since 2019 (Maybe they're working on something big?)... I really don't know... over the last 2 years, some "apparent" graphical bugs appeared and haven't been fixed to this day... For example, sometime in 2020, there was an "update" that disabled water physics for ALLIES and ENEMIES (right now only YOUR tank interacts with water AKA: creates those cool waves).

Example 1: Taken from EncoreRT benchmark which is based on a 2019 game build

Example 2: Taken from current game build 1.14.1

More recently with update 1.13 (I think) some of those destructible objects (Walls, fences and bricks, etc) just disappear instantly mid-air... These bugs break the immersion.

Can the devs reading this explain these "bugs"? Also any plans to introduce RT Shadows, AMD´s FSR, or NVIDIA´s DLSS?

I hate to say it...but is that it? Really, just making a city map MORE comfortable for Heavy tanks?    Why not just give them 15ft high indestructible walls to push around?  I've already put Paris on my excluded list.... now I suppose that just adds extra value to my decision.  Oh well..... those NEW maps, where are they?

Now you can't do anything on this map,  if you are in a light or a TD...

Knowing previous track record, the update is almost certainly empty by actual content. The actual main content of this patch is the Christmas stuff, it's just not testable and hence why the patch feels very empty.

It happened a year ago, it happened two years ago. On both of these years, the patches prior Christmas had basically no content, as the main focus was the Christmas stuff, so I'd imagine it's a very similar situation here as well.

happy to see you guys finally try deleting bush instead of planting a forest, I was always feeling like WOT has become into a game like Vietnam-War simulator after update 1.0

but still want to say, why not just delete maps like Berlin Minsk and Studzianki?

These maps simply have too many sniping bushes and crossfire positions which makes attacking a pure stupid movement.

This map, along with a few others like Paris and MInsk , its just plain bad, no matter what you alter to it. If someone hates it, moving a few ditches will not change that person mind. So If a map have big negative impression , just ditch it, or allow more maps to be blocked. Nothing good will result from forcing people into maps they hate playing.

Interesting changes. Berlin was ok though. Any chance of addressing the tragic Empire's Border?

Updated Berlin but probably a lot of other bits to make future updates no so large.

Bit of work for the late November event then something for Decembers event and so on.

Might as well get some of it done now with the Berlin Changes.

Actually looking forward to this especially how it impacts the encounter mode.

1. introduce new maps

2. remove the most blocked maps

3. introduce new maps

4. remove the most blocked maps

5 . introduce new maps

6 . remove the most blocked maps

7. players can vote back couple of the removed maps

then keep repeat these same steps .

bring more recon missions .

Rather see new maps then keep rework a bad map .

Berlin map is pretty bad , most of time the gameplay is atrocious in light \ medium tanks .

Oh great. Now scouts are useless. Before that, we could at least have some good moment in the ditches and bushes.

And calling trees "purely visual objects"? WG, do you play your own game? Trees are an important part of gameplay.

Introducing more hard cover so that now both flanks can be heavy sidescrape slugfests encouraging even less active gameplay. ✔️

Removing bushes, trees and softcover for players acutally wanting to play and exploit the gigantic deathzone that covers 80% of the map ✔️

Keeping all the elevated balcony positions right next to the cap denying all active gameply and even making them more attractive with the removal of other foliage positions ✔️

Introducing more hulldown ramps towards the bunker area, because that spot wasnt already absolute dogwater enough to play around ✔️

Removing all terrain features so that even the most smooth brain EBR player can safely traverse the now unplayable field without the fear of flipping his tank ✔️

This one is a real treat. Atleast be honest and call it a rework and not an improvement because these changes are anything but that.

The middle bunker unbalances half of the map. Remove it and make a slope with bushes and it would improve considerably.
