AMX 13 90 is good, but it in no way deserves its current MM value.

Ironically, prior to it being hit with the nerf bat andd prior to the zero damage hit prevalence, the AMX was actually balanced for its battle tier. it wasn;t balanced as a tier 7 light, but as equaivalent to a tier 8 it was fairly balanced.

Now, after the nerf bats have been thrown at it thick and fast, its battle tier status is utterly undeserved for 99% of the time.

I noticed something weird while playing the 13 90. Somehow it gets in matches with very unbalanced top tier tanks, like this one: http://i.imgur.com/yv7wk.jpg
How the hell are 3 tier 9 heavies + batchat balanced against 7 tier 9 heavies + jt ? Never seen something like this with all the other tanks I played.

Personally, I love the AMX 90. It is literally like an assassine and not a scout. I cannot complain about high-tier matches because these are the matches in which an AMX 90 can do the most. Basically every tank is able to penetrate it, which makes it a really bad top tier, but in games with T9 and T10 it can easily make the difference.

I made some statistics about its MM in 50 battles:
21 (42%) = top tier : 10
25 (50%) = top tier : 9
4 (8%) = top tier : 8

Your AMX can penetrate ANY tank in the game. Even the Maus. From Behind. Lower plate.

I can tell u that won't work... I've bounced 88mm + 105mm rounds from my Tiger II on the rear of the Maus.. The 90mm won't even dent it,

a maus is not immune against an amx. You have to aim at that round thing at the turret.

I love my amx 13 90 and even if i get thrown in high matches it is still alot of fun

shooting on the side with perfect perpendicular angle will make half shells penetrate a maus.

But yeah this doesn't mean it has good penetration at all.

Even a chaffee can do that

I think MM for this tank is ok. My highest tier match ever with any tank, only missing some arty to spot for.

Well, sold my AMX13/90 over the weekend.7.2 made it a VERY difficult to play tank and I'd got sick of seemingly:
- Always being in T10 battles, and thus reliant on my teammates to create a scenario when I can use vulture tactics (the only thing that works with the French reloaders)
- Too many of the first hits being not only damage, but also a crit such as being tracked, which typically results your then dieing under a hail of gunfire
In short, it has been just too marginalised.

I've kept the 13/75, which at least gets into lower tier battles and also the Lorry.  Play the Lorry carefully, and it can be genuinely useful, but that does mean staying away from enemy at the start and using it again in vulture mode.

An AMX 13 90 in a T7 game would absolutely murder any tank it meets. Even in a T8 match you could kill 90% of all tank in one cartridge.
If you meet two T7s that took any damage before you can take them out both.

This tank is supposed to be in the lower 1/3 of the lineup.

I had a problem too with play-style with it.
On the first place - you should know that this isn't scout tank.
If you start game before others in team, you are 99% percent death before every other player.
I just bought it and best games I had are in escort from distance of some TD or slow heavy tank.
You have a 6 fast reloaded shells but your gun isn't so fast on aiming. After each shot you must wait a bet to aim - and no meter you didn't move your gun.

So I don't know how this tank can be a sniper considering that it is always in matches with Tier VIII and above,
but in close fight - it is a killing machine
With that kind of playing - no way you could be useless!

I can show you plenty of battles where I scout, kill the enemy arty and we win the game.  High tier games with arty are often decided by which team can take out the others arty first - your team will love you if you go find and kill them all.

It's not the Amx13 90, I know, but I've read many people saying those tanks aren't scouts.

Yes, I'd like my teammates to stop TK my Amx-12t when I refuse to go scout while they all camp behind a rock. And then being called a noob cause I didn't suicide rush the ennemy lines.

On the first place, I know that my team would like to track them all, or to kill arty, or to scout all map,...
I believe that for this tank WG must make medal "Solidarity", because team in you playing expect many things from you when you are in this tank
Every one force you and support you, like when you are in Bat Chat you getting message" don't suicide,..." or in 13 90 " where are you man,.. spot that arty,.."

Find way to ignore this, any play your game in your style.
But if you have no style, just type three times button R on your keyboard, and go to have some coffee :Smile-tongue:

It's a scout with the abilities of a T9 medium. Play it like one.

In a 1v1 you will take down any damaged T10 tank.

I am assured you have not played it and you don't know so don't speak what you don't know

The problem could be solved IF there is a possibility to install the 90mm DCA45...Thats a gun with very high penetration that already is a part of ARL and AMX M4 45.

Can you imagine how inaccurate would be the tank with DCA-45? The main problem isn't the penetration, the main problem is accuracy since Wargaming made oscilating turrets less efficient than standard turret while the real oscilating turret where design to work as Vertical Stabilizer! WTF WG? I know AMX are not soviet tanks. So turret designed to permit fast aim and fire have to work at the total opposite of they should do, perfectly logic!
AMX12/13 should be accurate on the move. Guys I know made shots at more than 700m on ammocrates  after moving, stoping and aiming something like 5s (they knew their job but that represented by crew skill) Can you imagine? firing on box who has the size of your PC unit only 5s after stopping the tank? You can't in WoT shooting a tank doing that at even 100m due to the reticle who has the size of the Lorraine (the french department, not the tank who is already huge)

At the minimum, give the AMX the accuracy they should have, give them their REAL gun vertical mobility of +13° / -8°. And reduce the 90F3 realoding time to 35s aiming time to 2.5 as the RoF. You will have a decent tank to face like it faces 8 T10 tanks as usual cause atm the only meds who is less agile than it are E50 and E50M (a bit less) the others being able to actively chase the little bug. and are far more accurate on the move... Really soviet craps accurate on the move, only existing on WoT, they were even unable to make that kind of shot while static...
