Hmm.. 832 efficiency rating. Probably due to my 4 scouting tanks which seldom results in kills but lots of free XP.

5.42% more and I can claim semi divine status!

Seriously though - how? I'm not a bad player but in the top 3%, I don't think so.

But that will not stop me bragging to my mates  :)

@Bobbydancer:

Ah, I thought you meant you would like to do calculations based on credit income, but you're doing a formula emulating credit income.

Why not, though hard to see how you could reward good scouting in that kind of formula either? I can not find anything in the stats that actually logs how much damage was done while you were spotting. And while this heavily affects your income too, I'd really like to be enlightened, how you can gather that from dossier_cache stats? Average XP seem to be only thing that stores something about it, but it's permanently ruined with few non premium days.

Also, one could draw some conclusions about damage done against which tank types, but that's quite heavy guesswork anyway, isn't it? Out of interest, does the game allow remote access to client side, or is it available from server side?

I have some interest in gathering data and producing reports about it, I need to do that at work too. And tank stats are more fun to mess around with.

Meh

The problem with any sort of 'efficiency' calculator is that it takes your TOTAL efficiency over all games, which really doesn't have any information about how good you are now.

For instance....

If I put in my name, I come out at 1108.

BUT if I put in only the info for EACH of the last 6 tanks I've unlocked (individual numbers for that tanks damage/battles/kills) my numbers float between 1500-1900.

And... the efficiency metric is only good at telling you how good you are at scoring 'points' - not at how good you are at helping your team win.  Now, tanks that you play like a boss will push your ELO much higher.

The "ingame player rating mod" really shows how useless this rating is... only been using it for a few battles but already seen people with 40% winrate and 2000+ rating.  :Smile_harp:

You got me inspired there docmorningstar, so i've looked at that too.

My overall rating is 1029.85.

However, if i just calculate using the 12 vehicles currently in my garage (all of which i currently use), it shoots up to 1418.88.

That's quite a difference! I'd expect it to be tbh, because i like to think that i've got better with experience, and clearly i have.

I guess many, many players would find the same if they did this so it would even out i guess, but it does show the limitation of an overall rating. That says i'm average, but the rating with current tanks says i'm good.

Nice spot!

I'm at work now so i haven't go time for an full answer, but it could be interresting to test if the credits for scouting are implemended as damage or just as credits.

No credit gain for shooting higjer tier. All damage are homogenus when it come to credit making. Apperently, game has been changed, look later topics from US forum. But still I come back to this topic later, just dont have much time right now.

Recently I rediscovered WoT after having played quite a lot in the beta, picked up a premium account, and apparently worked my way up to an efficiency rating of 3565.1 after I got the hang of the game again.

I'm quite surprised it's amongst the highest values reported here, but of course this stat is nothing I can be proud of: it only tells me I perform well in low-tier battles (which is obvious due to my past experience and better equipped tanks than most low-tier tanks) and that I am often the one who has to go back to defend the base because no one else can be bothered to do so ;)

I'm about to work my way up to Tier 3+ tanks though, so soon this ratio will fall by an aweful lot I assume... and well, I don't really consider myself a good player, so if I turn out to be an average player, I'll be more than happy :)
