My efficiency is 1688.29 (1689.1 with rounded stats).
What do you think about this efficiency rating? I personally think it's a pretty good thing and the efficiency rating matches what I think about players I see ingame and then test it with their names (e.g. super bad players and super good players).
More advantages:
- it's not about the total amount of battles
- it's not about the winratio
- you don't need high tier tanks to get a good efficiency rating
- it's just about the most important things

Average destroyed in the battle
Average damage in the battle
Both these characteristics depends on tank model and Tank tier.
That causes subjectivity/inaccuracy of eficiency rating.

Went down about 20 points after I started playing with low tier french tanks.

This has 1 flaw though, if you play arty often your "scouted per battle" score will be crap and it will bring down your efficiency score by quite a bit.

good site. Mine is 1195.45 :~(
Nice to see someone doing stats that tbh WG should be doing

Deceiving to some point (and just to some point), yes, but worthless? I am sorry but I find that nonsense.

Could be worse, I guess. Certainly higher then I hoped for.

How so? All the variables are things that would reflect general skill. Especially since they can represent different types of play (one is spotting, another is damage). The only potentially "worthless" variable here as far as I can tell, is the "Average destroyed in the battle" one.

If I would defend as much as I attack it would've been a crazy efficiency rating, but I guess I just don't like sitting at home, waiting for people to come along and start capping

exactly, and avg. destroyed in battle could represent the ability to "finish the job". Naturaly you could have 5:1 kill ratio, but that would mean you are a kill stealer and so your other stats will suffer and overall effectiveness will drop.

Harsh judgement. I find it hard to believe that I could be anywhere near Emu's level, and yes, I base that on these stats solely, I have never seen him play.

Also you should think of the low amount of samples the average player has. 2-3k samples isnt nearly enough to outweight the high amount of randoms wot has to offer.
Some stuff to think about :
-matchmaking for tier 5-7 is screwed giving people who have large amounts of games in tier 8-10 a big advantage in these stats
-players focusing mainly on arty will have low cap/defend points and nearly zero spotted giving them a huge disatvantage.(this again favors meds/heavy)
-the state a tank is in, most players will have alot more games with non-elite tanks than with elite tanks
-gold... skipping stock tanks, skipping bad tanks, getting faster to tier 8+ meaning less screwed mm.

I totally see your point.
But this pretty much renders any "simple" statistics "worthless". No readily available statistics will take these aspects into account. Based on what we can get from battle statistics as things are now, my opinion is that this efficiency calculator gives us the best possible representation of player skill.
