the developer of World of Planes seems to have no relation whatsoever with WG.
it called Gaijin Entertainment.

wtf?

Yes, they are also making a game about aerial combat with historical planes. The two companies more or less announced their projects within a few days of each other, and neither had an idea the other was doing the same.

They have changed the title to War Thunder: World of Planes. Ours remains World of Warplanes.

Gaijin is a term used to described those born outside of japan by those born in japan.

thx a lot for the info  :Smile_honoring:

edit: they use the same forum theme as this one, the name is pretty close...   you might want to distinguish yourself from those people.
or make them distinguish from you, those similarities are weird.

First off, we will distinguish from them in quality. :)

Well Gaijin have good pedigree with the Wings of prey series and Birds of Steel.
But a lot here will give World of Warplanes a go as they will be able to convert XP from World of Tanks to jump up the tech tree to a better plane.

EDIT: Sorry tadada, don't know what I was thinking, but thx for the correctiom m8

And when in good luck the slow Sopwith manages to fire a burst of bullets against the MiG-15, having 10x more hitpoints and 10x more deadly weapons for game balance. The sopwith camel is just too OP of having more wings and open cockpit for better view range.

I see a game, where the ME109 will be ruled by MIG-3 or other soviet crap. Wehre the ME262 will put against Mig21 and so on and so on...Glad that there's competition :) Not to menton the IL2 series.
I will check this also, but i'm sure it won't last for me too long :)

Man, I was getting excited. I thought World of Warplanes had been taken over by another organization. Oh well, guess we will have the same 'quality' customer service in WOWP as in WOT. <_<
