I have installed the mod and the script, Is the client side corsair still meant to appear?

I installed as the instruction, but nothing changed. When I active serverside crosshair (capslock + 0), it's still the default one. I want to use the circle-shaped green slim crosshair. Wondering that did I missed any step when installing it? Could some one please help me?

For those wondering , no changes are required for 7.3 tested on test server and all working fine.

I would like to request a less eye catching crosshair . Can u please make just 5 small red dot crosshair. 1 - center aim and 4 side.
curent .dds can cover whole tank and u cant see where u aim ( and i aim in arcade a lot)

Great mod haven't missed a shot since installing it  :Smile_great:  just for everyones info tho if like me you dont like the look of the crosshairs its easy to mod them with Gimp i altered mine to a nice pinpoint very high visibility dot and use it alongside the normal load and aim circle.

I've installed your target blue but I want to give a try to the pony-one.... Where must I put it? :/

Can anyone make me 5 dot server side? plz  these circle dots and all are tooo big really bad for aiming in arcade.

I got the permanent thing, but I cant change the shape and color even though I copy the file and rename as u guys said. Any help please? Thanks

Is there any way to have the regular clientside look of the crosshair, but for the serverside crosshair?

It doesnt work for me, i cant start the game afterwards.
The Avatar.pyc seems to cause the problem.

Arty can't have more accurate crosshair than it has now. Server-side doesn't change anything because client is good enough (at least for me).

About this mod, I fully approve of it. I had to turn on server crosshair every time I joined the battle because client was very inaccurate and now it's much more simple and these crosshairs are amazing.

I have the mod and the script and it works, but for some reason I can't choose a custom crosshair. Tried 2 custom ones (orange circle-dot and white semicircle shapes). Both of them resulted in a white serverside crosshair with an X in the middle (default mod crosshair?). Anyway, can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong, thanks in advance.

EDIT: Before anyone asks: Yes, I deleted the default "gun_marker_blue.dds" first, then renamed the crosshair of my choosing "gun_marker_blue.dds".

I got the crosshairs to change to the one I want, but the server side crosshair will NOT come on automatically. I tried the avatar script in the zip that this mod comes in, that makes the game crash before the log in screen. I also tried the new script, it does absolutely nothing. Is there a script that actually works? i"m so tired of having to press caps0 every game.....

So after reading every post in this thread, I am reminded that this is the novice forum apparently. Just so I'm clear, I have the files in the right place, blah, blah, blah

Putting the new script (Avatar.pyc I think) in the correct folder worked for me, but I am not able to customize the crosshair. It does turn on automatically every game.

That should be covered in the readme, a bunch of file renaming going on there. I thought that the default one with blue in the file name turning out not to be blue was a....interesting surprise.

As far as my problem, the only difference I can identify is I'm using the US version of 7.2, where my main account is, but I am also trying this mod on the 7.3 test server, which is the same program spec for all users. I can't get it to come on automatically on either one.  I've read some people get it to work with 7.3 test, while others (1) can't get it to work with 7.2 EU.

I'm only playing the test server right now tho, so if can work for some, then it should work for me, but I can't crack it. Is there some other setting going on here?

OK! So I figured out the problem. Everything on my system/install was correct. You must press a button (mouse button, I do the fire button) after the 30 second countdown for the crosshair to come automatically. I press fire when my first round is loading, it comes on. That was the key.
