I agree with Hudini where is the 7.2 patch, no news about it since the preliminary notes, no sign of a test server and now a "patch" that has never been mention on the eu website, or tested by eu players, is about to land. Any news on when 7.2 is going to test at least?

This was quite unexpected, but sounds nice! (even though i'm awaiting 7.2 a LOT more) :)

Anyways, if you change the game files packaging so that it improves loading speeds, then please consider the following:
Even now, without the incoming modifications, it only takes a longer while to load the very first battle after you fire up the game. All the subsequent battles load a lot faster. Whenever i enter a battle, 90% of the players already loaded the game when there's 25-30sec left of the timer, and by the time we reach 15sec there's usually like one or two guy (out of 30!) who's still loading. (they probably have bad PC and first battle after game launch)

If you optimize the loading speeds, this 30sec becomes even more pointless. It's not enough for any more complicated tactical conversatins than "I take hill", but forces everyone to wait. Of course 30sec is not a long time, but considering that even a casual player is probably over 2000 Battles (participated) by now, that's 60 000 seconds, or 16,66 hours lost of our lives with pointless waiting...

Please, reduce that timer to 10sec or below!

People might ocassionally (i'd say once a week) lose a battle because their top tank's owner has a Wooden Comp., but without that much waiting, they could also fight several other battles under the time they gain by taking care of this timer.
It's a good trade in my opinion...

What if I want to remove unnecessary files from loading completely (like camouflages, I don't need to see those and the game loads perfectly fine without them)? Do I still remove (rename) the actual files or what?

My loading takes longer because of all the different tank models, not the maps. More different tanks => more time to load. You could fix those, too.

Really good news - I always had to reinstall all my mods after each new version (which is quite sucky).

GJ WG !

PS.: and if you manage not to overwrite my custom skins with most of the new patches you would be most aaaawshum !

The 7.1.1 will be good release. First topic: I always start to play with arty, because I load the first game too long, and this sometimes lead to load the battle after receiving the first shell at me.
The second: A lot of ppl are feeling more comfortable, when using mods. This patch will make their endless choices of mods easier. I basically prefer the original. Except in some period in which I used weak spots skins of some tanks, to try to develop myself. This try did not helped me at all, just turned the work of the designers and the animators into a crappy rainbow-style work.

now this is lame. i have waiting for 6 months to play the new american tanks, because T30 and T34 are VERY BIG jokes. now i have to wait even more. for many players with over 7000 battles there are few tanks worth grinding for.
also please mods put ALL the changes you make on each patch. waiking up with changed tanks afther each patch is not preaty fun.
