Leo is the best spotter in the game.
Amen.
And thanks to the MM it really gets the chance to prove that.
20k credits (w/o premium) no problem.

For my taste it ended up in low tier games way too often.
You could shoot things there..okay.
But that´s not what it´s made for.

You are right - it´s not a T-50.
And it should n´t be, what would be the point to have similar tanks.

Try and you will find.
Camo, Binocs, Vent + 100% Camo crew.
I got called "cheater" sooo many times I stopped counting.
:-)

Loved every bit of it.

My favorite Map: Arctic Region southern base.
81% WR on that map configuration due to a simple "Leo only" manouever.

I usually use my Leopard in following ways.

1. Anti Scout role. - Intercept their scouts and kill them, or at least hold them up.

2. Wait for a gap or scout job -   wait for your moment to slip through into their rear areas to harass and kill arty and distract them. Or wait until things get bogged down and someone calls in for a scout to light them up.

3. Advance to contact  -  Scout out initial dispersion of enemy team (easier on open maps), keep moving but stay at your maximum view range from them. Lets the big boys on your team make an educated decision on their deployment early on and can result in you getting a few killed by TD's and Artillery. (Steppes can be a good map to do this on)

I've just sold my Leo, great guy, 60% WR and almost Top Gun in one game. I think that I have too many scouts in garage but Leo will be remembered  :Smile_great:

Another fun thing to do with the Leo is ramming. AMX 12s will cry blood if you do this. 1 or 2 shots from the 50mm and full speed ramming will kill an AMX 12. Got kamikaze medal this way.  :Smile-izmena:

One stupid mistake I've made is not training the crew to the 100% of skill, now I put crew in other tank, damn it sucks!

If you're up for some suicidial rally driving use T-50, but if you want to add some finesse in your scouting, it is a job for Leo.

Nothing more rewarding than holding your breath in a well placed full camo Leo and watching high tier hostiles inside 100m range getting hits from friendly artillery.

This can not be answered easily. You should consider what you want to do with this tank in the future.

Will it become a keeper (more than 500 battles) or just a grinder to proceed to VK28?
Do you intent to become a dedicated scout?

You should select skills which will either enhance important vehicle/crew abilities or enhance the abilities which are bad, atm.

To become a dedicated scout, my recommanedation is this:
Spoiler

All other skils are useless for a dedicated scout.

So I'm not an expert on scouting by any means, but I think you can't do the aggressive offroad scouting the t-50 does in the beginning of the game. I think it's advisable to first do a short scouting run just to detect rushes, then stay back and do some antiscouting, depending on the situation you can then either go and bully tanks (which the leo does better than the t-50), attempt to find their arty or search for a nice bush and cover a flank. I've found that usually faster scouts will beat you to good sneak scout positions. Oh and about the sentiment that you should not use the Leos gun, that's wrong. Use it by all means to bite people in the back when the time calls for it. For a scout it bites hard.

I have both, the Luchs and the Leopard. To be honest: I am king with the Luchs! :) ...But I also like the Leopard a lot. The only problem I have with the Leopard, is that I keep ending up in a sh*t team... I loose about 57% of my matches! This little bugger brings my victory statistics down. :(

Do you mean, that your PPL are playing badly with no understanding whats however?
IMO, it is questionable to give such statments at a battle record of 1300+ battles, since your own battle experience is low and the top tier vehicle in your garage is MT6.
(It does not matter whether XVM shows them all in Yellow or Red.)

If you are saying that the MM for the Leopard is not good for you, then you should learn to live with it.
The MM of the Leopard is known to bring you into battles, at which many commanders ask themself "what can I do here?".
The answer to this is "perform spotting duties!".
The game is based on dealing DMG to your opponents. Since the Leopard can't deal much of that you shall enable your team to do so.

At 47 battles on the Leopard, your crew is not at 100% yet, you may not have any camo training, so it is very challenging to perform the spotting duties with such combination.
Keept it up it will get better, beleave me.

I was disappointed with the move from Luchs > Leopard. I'm sure it can be effective as shown above with time invested, but when you can hop into a russian light and it's instantly more "playable" its hard to do anything else.

True, on the other hand, everybody can do that. It all depends on whether you want to master the tools or you just got masterly tools. In german scouts you can make a difference, but in soviet russia, scout makes difference for you.
