oh the times I almost cried of man's stupidity
I mean: 800xp on a loss is really, really sad
yesterday I got a really bad day where I couldn't seem to do anything
just popped in some demon's souls, where dying is just your regular gaming experience
got killed by vanguard twice :/
damn I never get the hang of killing that bitch in the tutorial

By "those" days I mean days when you just can't seem to do ANYTHING in battles. You try your best to shoot the enemies, but then after few shots you just notice that you aren't hitting anything. And if you luckily get a hit, it either bounces off or is one of those magical "0% Critical hits". Now at this point you are annoyed and disappointed with yourself and try to find cover, but as you start reversing someone shoots your tracks off and an enemy artillery snipes you with one blow. You stare at the screen depressed how your team members fluently get rid of the enemies one by one... You get your victory (worst case scenario 1st Victory of the day), but it just doesn't feel like a victory at all. You select your next tank and join a battle just to have that nice little Déjà Vu moment, and as you are thinking "Wait a minute, I seriously need to mov..." you are already dead. Now you are in the vicious cycle which doesn't end until you hit the pillows and go to sleep.
Today was one of "those" days for me. As a result of these awesome battles I start being a really whiny b**** to my best friend. I whine about his good performance in battle even though I should be happy and supportive that at least he gets something done in the battles. I really hate that b***** PMS side of me. I do always apologize for my bad behavior, but it' just so embarrassing to be such a child just because I "failed" in the battle.
So dear WoT forum, what do you do when you face one of "these" days? Do you perhaps have this little scale model of a Type-59 which you can rip apart in frustration? Or is this all just me and I should seek mental help right away?

Well this is funny, especially considering I've just been talking to a freind of mine and bitching and whining to him after shutting the game off after how bad my night has been going, I come here and see this post. I have just had one of those nights now. Been having a good time so far, 1 match I got 5 kills on my SU-76, but thanks to 2 tanks hiding behind a rock (one with about 20 health left and another on full health) and a marder II that just stayed on a hill firing off random shots that basicly got him killed, (and a stupid mistake I myself made and admit to, that got me killed) we lost the match. Now if someone had capped, we could have won. But hey ho, nevermind. It happens. So I carried on. Nxt map I won, not as much exp, but a win is a win. Then got a good few wins on other tanks. After that it just started going wrong very quickly. MM started being a real bitch to me, had 4 really awful matches and just had to shut the game down before I lost the plot
Suprisingly now after reading this post, seeing other people reply with similair situations, I am somewhat relieved that I am not the only one this happens to and how calming it is to read this and type out my thoughts. Oh and also gives me an urge to once again load up the game and go on a killing spree

restart the game, seriously i log right out and back in again mentally telling myself that these stupid games are the games fault and i will get a better game if it puts me in a different cluster (yes i know it doesnt work like that but all it a "mental reset".
Failing that i shout at my kids its theit fault for watching me and distracting me
Failing that i shout at the wife for not stopping the kids from watching or stopping me for yelling at the kids
Failing that i ignore the time of day grab a beer and get in the cheapo crappy tanks where i can then blame the tank
and if all that fails i stop playing because i need a new keyboard as for some reason the one i was using suddenly exploded and flew out the window

Hehehe, that sounds so much like me it's scary.
OP, I know the feeling, especially when you have a premium account, and it then starts to feel more like you must at least do your daily doubles. It's almost like it's become a job, and that is rarely fun. Then you have that mentality, getting faced with that wonderful thing called a random battle, and a splendid losing streak.

Earlier I used to go into try-hard mode. It tends to go down hill fast when I do that. Now I play SPG's or TD's just for a change of pace, or just stop playing.
Like last night after finally researching the last gun on my new Jagdpanther; I got artied to death before fireing a shingle shot for three consecutive games. Never saw a scout or a red dot on the minimap at all, just KABLAMMMOO dead. Apparently my shiny new 10,5 is also a lighthouse/radiobeacon/perma-laser designated target. I'm seriously considering selling it and buuying a new one.

Huh, this is somewhat funny as yesterday was one-of-those-days also for me. Couple of first matches went ok and i was doing great with Object (TD) in Arctic Region until lag spike ruined my steering and gave warp mode for last enemies. So we lost, probably would have lost anyway but I could have give some resistance.
After rebooting lag disappeared but so did the little skill that i have and nothing succeeded. Should have took the break after couple bad games but i just continued, got more frustrated and horrible down spiral was completed.
Maybe i should make a note next to monitor that reminds to take a break after few bad matches.

I remember one day, when on my KW I had one of "those" days. I managed to get 2x battle on like 6 tanks I think, in between KW fails (getting killed and battle lost)... when then Komaryn came - no arty! I thought... they will try to cap fast. So I went to defend, most of my team went cap, they started to cap. I have no idea what other team was doing, but I never saw any enemy... my attacking team killed like 2-3 defenders ... low tier... and won. I just... died a bit inside... 2x battle... a bit over 100 exp :/
So I swiched games... World of Warcraft... my wife play it still (I stopped) - but she has new low level shaman. So I went to heal some dungeon. Every single boss drop - Spirit... every single item... ninja from me by some a**pipe.
Turned off computer, started to read book... that can't fail! Lights went down on whole district.

Jep got those days too.
-Battles were your gun seems to hate you with a vengeance (248 pen gun? here bounce on 30mm side armor!)
-Battles were every shot takes out something important
-Battles were arty seems to focusfire you
-Battles were your commander is blind and can't even see a tank 50m infront of you
-Battles that go awesome you loose, battles that end up with you getting killed in 3 sec and you win (whoopy 500 exp doubled i'm so proud of myself...)
Usually i platoon up then or just go play something else.

Would you rather:
-pay and do nothing?
-pay and have a bad time?
Wha I'm saying is: if you just paid for premium, and you don't have your day, do something else. The game is for fun, if you don't have fun, don't play.

What makes a losing streak even worse is when it's with a tank you like to take for fun, and suddenly the fun goes as you get your arse kicked left, right and centre.

I had one such day yesterday... i managed in 4 hours not to make the 20K silver that i'm missing for a Tiger and on the last game ended up spectacullarly riddled with new vent holes in my VK....
Yep i nerdraged on chat
Battlecoms saw a bit like,
Now i am officially nerdraging
OhGOD WHYYYY?!
End of rage
Then i headed up to the training battles with 2 mates and made a couple of interesting discoveries regarding Spotting... and some weakspots...
Today is a new day... and i hope i won't be ammo racked as many times as yesterday.

When this happens to me I tend to try and remember the day before where I seemed to do no wrong and stomped all before me.
Or
Play another game.
Or
Watch something funny on a download.
Or
Hit the bottle hard for the rest of the evening.

OP:
Hate to say it, but according to WG everything in this game 'works as intended'. Make of it what you will, but to me this is trolling at its finest. If I happen to experience the beginning of a sh!t streak like you described, then my personal rule states: take a (long) break after 3 losses.
Helps a lot to come down (and hopefully reset that blasted RNG). Also I suggest you keep another game on the side because there are hours and days where you get trolled both by the game and the massive levels of retardation, thanks to the fail and lemming trains. You see that happening a couple times in a row and it's a good call to switch immediately.
Cheers

I had a day like this yesterday. Wanted to knock out a few daily doubles, started with the T29. I die early, the team loses badly. Oh OK, let's try again. Once again, we lose *really* badly, like the team is full of not only lemmings but they might as well be driving backward toward the enemy. I try to hold the neglected flank....
Rinse repeat for a loong stretch, and I just couldn't catch a break. No matter what tank/ TD I play, either I make a stupid mistake and get punished instantly or I just miss, bounce and ding my way through a match we lose.
I end up quitting and going to do something else. It's either that or get all nerdrage...!
