Yes,  the french T6+ meds and lights are going to be nerfed. The WG nerfing the passing ability (speed and/or traverse speed on different terrains) and increase the reloading time in the cartridge.

I was kinda dissapointed after reading the American special , I didn't realise it was different specials for the regions - Was hoping to get my t-29 cheap, still I guess I should powerfarm the amx-90 (got the 75 all researched except the actual amx 90) . Use the credits to buy a new T-29 . Looks like I'll be buying some 3-day premiums

Also hope to grind out the XP for the 105 on my patton

I really appreciated the "Gameplay:" explanations.
It makes things clear to me.
I have both AMX 13 75/90, and actually just played them like mediums (for a not-so-good result...), but not really like scouts.
I like either to play scout with my VK2801 and do some static spotting before rushing for the arties. I am going to try my VK2801 tactic on this AMX...

When I am in my T95, I fear more a 13-75 or 13-90 than a tier 9 heavy!
And when in my GW-Tiger, they are my worst nightmare... even worst than a T-50-2 (by the way... I do not see many T-50-2 for a while now...)
It is good to be sometimes in the shoes of a scorpion. I know. A scorpion does not have shoes... but still...

From Tier 5 up the whole French tree is either a work of pure fantasy or OP post 1960 tanks which have no place in a game allegedly based on WWII, the AMX 13 is a particularly fine/bad example. More simply for the sake of it does NOT make better,it just renders more tanks obsolete and pisses off people who have put alot of time, not to say money (I'm f2p incidentally), into getting those tanks. Too late to delete the French I suppose, please don't repeat the error with some mythical Japanese/Italian/Pan-European tanks.

Lol, bought the AMX13-75 during the last 5x event which was only the other weekend but unfortunately nowhere near the 90.

Still the 3x exp is nice, but could have down with 3x credits event just for a change.  

Either way, OP or not, they're fun tanks to play.

Has that been confirmed anywhere? If there is nerfing i'm sure it'll be slight. Also they'll almost certainly improve their gun elevation / depression to some extent so that may well counteratct the nerfing to some extent!

Who know's, until they final release the prelimanary patch notes it's all guess work and then they'll probably tweaked after testing too!

reloading times are very very long, longer than high tier arty, which is hardly OP.

Must admit another French bonus makes no sense to me, they had one 3 weeks ago.  Also as Mondog posted, look at the stats for the AMX 13/75 - 90 and you will see we certainly don't want more of them running around like rally cars.

TBH I'm getting a little bit tired of WoT and the idiots that think they are helping the game.  I signed up for WoT due to the WW2 element of the tanks and I dont care what people say this game is Advertised as a WW2 Tank Shooter!  But now all i see are Rally Cars dealing a crap load of damage, tanks with turrets shaped like flying saucers that have forcefields, T50-2 that you can hardly hit that drives faster than my car.  While I lumber across the wasteland in a Tiger, JPanther, Ferdi Tanks produced 20 years prior to these tanks.  

Now dont get me wrong, when you can track one of these they will die fast, but i've seen too many battles with 75/90's with 6,7,8 Kills of poor quality WW2 tanks or the other night a Lorr 40t with 9 kills and speed around the battlefield of no other tank.

Why cant they develop the Historic Battle gamemode as promised and let the tanks produced in the 50's & 60's fight it out elsewhere!

given the controversy surrounding the french mid-high tiers. you would think it wiser to not flood the battlefield with them until a decent mentality about them has improved either by learning its weaknesses(experience), or by nerf.

My 2 cents : Tanks are sold at 50% of their buying price.
If you buy a tank at 50% during an event, you can sell it for the same price you paid after the event.

This is why I always have a couple free slots in the garage to buy tanks at half-price. And if I really need credits, I just sell them back for the same price I paid.

AMX 13: French Light Tank

The AMX 13, the Panhard armored car and the heavy tank AMX-50 were all conceived by France shortly after WW2. However, the AMX-50 was to suffer cancellation due to a considerable amount of M-47 provided by the United-States.

The AMX 13 was designed at the Atelier de Construction d'Issy-les-Moulineaux in 1946 to meet a requirement for an air-portable vehicle to support paratroopers. It features an uncommon two-part oscillating turret where the gun is fixed to the turret and the entire upper turret changes elevation, allowing the use of an automatic loading system and reducing the tank crew to only 3 members.

The original 75 mm gun, allegedly modeled on the German 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 gun (used, among others, in the Panther tank) but firing very different ammunition from a shorter barrel, was fed with an automatic loading system in two six-round magazines located in the turret's bustle. The twelve rounds available in the loaders meant that the crew could engage targets quickly, however once those rounds were expended the vehicle had to retreat to cover and the crew reload them from outside the vehicle. From 1966 the 75mm high-velocity gun was replaced by a 90 mm (the AMX 13 90) medium velocity gun firing more effective HEAT ammunition, with the French upgrading all existing base models to this specification.

Numerous nations used the AMX 13, and some are still using them. The AMX 13 family is one of the widest in the world, with artillery, bridge layer, recovery and many military engineering versions.

Fight like a scout. Rush to a forward position, stay hidden, and let your friends bring hell to the unlucky souls who dared moving into the sensor’s detection range.

But the middle game is where this little cockroach really shines… equipped with the 75mm SA50. You lack the firepower to penetrate many targets from the front, so stay hidden until you get a clear shot at the enemy’s tracks then shoot his side while retreating.

Alternatively, with only 14 sec to reload the barillet (100% crew), you can duke it out when he is alone and surround him while shooting at its tracks so he can only rely on its turret rotation. This should only be done when he is isolated from his team, and only on heavy targets. You will not be able to continue forever as you will lose some speed while turning.

Once you unlock the AMX 13 90, you can upgrade it to the 90mm F3 canon which has a better penetration, twice the firepower, but reloads 3 times slower (40.28 sec) than the 75mm.

Unlike the 75mm that lack the firepower to really attack medium tanks and only pick on weak targets, the 90mm brings you an average of 1480 dmg per barillet. This gives you a chance to finish most wounded targets. Reload time will, however, leaves you fairly vulnerable. You should only shoot to kill, and avoid wasting the tactical advantage of a hidden position.

Also, be careful and always plan your escape route. Bear in mind that your canon elevation is very low. You can only hit targets on the same plane as your tank. In layman terms, this means you can only hit a target which is on the same slope as you are. It can become particularly problematic in maps such as Westfield or Sand River, as this will force you to expose yourself completely in order to shoot a target.
