wargaming your not playing fair

SgtLeatherface's Photo SgtLeatherface 02 Mar 2012

I have paid a lot 'playing to win' in this game

I only play an object 704 now with good stats

My overall stats are irrelevant due to my 4yr old son playing on my account and not taking low lvl tanks seriously so dont go there sceptics.

My problem:

I stopped playing premium recently and i noticed i lose most games now.

Not close losses but 4-14 when im the last man standing.

The 0 critical hits 'u nailed him bad' has increased too!

they dont want me to make credits

The matchmaker discriminates between those who pay and those
who dont.

You can tell me l2p or stop being  paranoid but it makes sense.

Wargaming dont want me to play for free.

After all the money ive spent ive had it.

I was looking forward to world or warplanes/battleships but it will be based on the same model so to hell with it.

IF YOU CANT PLAY FAIR THEN NO MORE!

stop penalising me in the matchmaker and putting me in really bad teams

suddenly i have realised what a fool i have been

That's BS and we all know it.
It's a subjective impression because of less income and less XP.

Look at stats in the long run (200+ matches) and you'll see no change. If there's a slight dip in performance, it is because you are more tense ("HAVE to win or else I'll lose credits") therefore you make mistakes. If you're unsure, save all replays and watch them again.

Honestly, it's stupid that the same people that say Wargaming can't fix bugs believe at the same time in an overly-complex, hell-bent on making them lose match-maker. Please! Make up your minds already...

bad games happends to prem and non prem account players.

from my personal experience, the game deliberatly place good players on bad teams 9/10 times to try to "even the odds" even though it is impossible as this is not a game where 1 player can make the difference or controll the entire battle.

the only way to increase the chanses of a win in standards is to toon upp whit your clan/friends.
1 toon will atleast give you 2 ppl who are not morons.
if you can get 2 of your clans toons on the same side you will win 8/10 standard battles.

companys is allso a good way to get wins but only if your etire clan joins. random tc is just as bad as standards if they dont use voice comms.

the point is i have spent a lot of money and they dont play by the rules now i have stopped going premium

Here's what: why don't you upload all the replays somewhere so we can all see?
Also have you ever thought that match-maker mixes premium and non-premium players together indiscriminately? So not only YOU, the non-premium player, lose the battle, but always some premium players as well?

I heard if your premium account is over, then your team will perform worse and wargaming will turn them into lemmings.

The MM thing has been the community's biggest gripe ever since the beta. A lot of people, including me, have made posts and suggestions on the subject. We were ignored. Instead of heeding the numerous complains, most of WG's patches were aimed towards unrelated and at times useless stuff (birds in the maps anyone?). As the game goes forward, the population is skewed towards the higher tiers. With no motivation for owners of high tier vehicles to play lower tier battles (and no, credit farming is not adequate motivation), the MM problem is complicated even more because of the majority of people playing tier 7+. There is really no more need for rage on the subject at least from me. I feel I've done my duty as a beta tester and pointed out the problem. So have numerous other people. It's WG's game and they can do whatever they want with it, as it is their right. My right is to not pay a dime for gold until I start feeling like my money is well spent. It's a right I'll keep exercising.

That said, I quote from the OP's post "stop penalising me in the matchmaker and putting me in really bad teams".

For this one I will call you paranoid. I find it extremely hard to believe the MM actually takes player stats into account when forming teams. Furthermore, even if that is the case, why would the MM have a bias against you specifically? For if what you say is true, that would mean that you're in some way "blacklisted" and when the MM processes your name, you're automatically placed in the worst of the two teams. Conspiracy theories anyone?

I have played a number of battles myself, if I remember correctly over 5k in this and my alt account. I've had, just as you prob had, lots of battles II've been in teams composed of such noobs that we lost 3-15, 4-15, had a number of 0-15 even. A lot of these battles were the result of the bad MM, others were because my team was bad, others because I sucked as well as my team. Saying however that I've had these battles because the MM has a bias against me specifically is taking it way too far.

Also, you seem to think that because you've dumped an amount of money into WoT, you deserve better MM treatment. No. The MM should treat all players the same. As I've said above, the MM is really really bad in its current form. But it's bad because of either a)unintentional bad programming or
b)intentional programming for marketing reasons. It's not for some reason out to get you specifically. It's one thing to say "dang, this MM sucks, it's balancing 3 tier 8 heavies with 3 tier 8 mediums" and totally another to say "dang, this MM sucks, it's put me into the noob team because it hates me even though I pay". I've been in the noob team more than once. Other have been in the same place as well. I've also been the noob myself a good number of times. This is my teammates' fault or my fault or both. Do not invent fictional MM problems. It has enough real ones as it is.

i noticed "the greed" as soon we left beta stages

I have never been on premium at all apart from the free days they gave out on Valentine's. So if you have started losing because you're not on premium,it follows by your own reasoning that I should have only won during the free premium day I got and kept losing for the rest of my battles ever since the game went live.

Can you really understand how absurd this sounds?

I don't care how you spend your money. I've never spent even a cent on WoT and the MM is a big part of that decision. However, if there was a bias on non-premium players, it stands to reason that me (who is a total f2p player) shouldn't have won a single match. I have won (and lost) plenty. Therefore, your reasoning is flawed. You're losing because you happen to be on a losing streak. Or because the MM is badly balancing the teams. Or because you ended up with noobs in your team. Or because you lack skills. Or because the stars are not properly aligned. But not because you stopped paying for premium.

The MM is bad, no denying it. But the MM doesn't have anything to do with your "problem". Your problem is that you've decided to chalk your losing streak up to some fantastic bias against yourself specifically. I've explained to you that this cannot happen. I kmow the game's flaws all too well. Hence I've decided to never pay for premium unless I start feeling it's worth it. That really doesn't make me "too naive" at all. Instead of reading people's posts and trying to understand what they say, you just go around and neg rep, as if you know, I really give a rat's bum about rep in some forum.

To repost from my own post: It's one thing to say "dang, this MM sucks, it's balancing 3 tier 8 heavies with 3 tier 8 mediums" and totally another to say "dang, this MM sucks, it's put me into the noob team because it hates me even though I pay". The latter simply doesn't happen. Me and tons of other f2p players are proof of that. If you can't understand it, feel free to keep neg repping me. I get a form of perverse pleasure from it.

Self-diagnose right there. Stop being it and you'll start winning again.
