Very sad news :/ but not completely unexpected, unfortunately (all veterans from World War 2 are very advanced of age,if not already having passed away)

I also saw a link,in the "british names" thread that Joe Ekins passed away in early february,at the age of 88.

RIP, to both men sad yet enevitable loss. :(
:Smile_honoring:

Brand of Brother has to be m favourite TV Series ever.

The casting, script, production values, direction all first class and a fitting epitaph to 101st Airborne.

Got the boxset and would heartily recommend it to everyone, think i'll have to invest in the book it was based on too!

A lot of the men featured in BoB have died since it first came out.

It seems like this decade we'll see most of the remaining WW2 veterans begin to rapidly pass away, much like what happened to WW1 vets for the the last 10-20 years. It won't be long before WW2 only exists in history books. :(
