Bored of the same explosion and gun shot sounds?
Do you want to experience the mighty roars of your Tigers and Panthers?
Do you want to hear distant explosions, shouts and battle sounds while you are camping in your favourite bush?
I want to share one excellent sound mod which I founded on Russian WoT official forum. Its not my work and all appreciation belong to player Jafdet.
Videos:
Short preview: http://vimeo.com/37904893
Mod is under development. Updates and new versions are possible.
There is also another mods from this author, like ingame messages, enviroment sounds of hangar, etc. Feel free to check it out.
Downloads:
Spoiler
1. Download the rar files.
2. Create folders: World of Tanks/res_mods /0.7.4/audio
3. Extract rar files and copy content to: World of Tanks/res_mods/0.7.4/audio
4. Enjoy!
Attention (unconfirmed, but I heard that this may happen): If you plan to use only part of modified audio files, you have to put original audio files along with modified to this res_mods folder too

Nice effects much better than the standard sounds! Just goes to show what can be achieved when someone puts some effort into it. Did I read that some engine sounds are available & where can I get them from. +100 from me to the op & the creator I even heard clucking chickens for smegs sake.

Yeah, engine sounds are a must for me. Now it's another atmosphere cruising with my tanks or standing still (especially for heavy tanks).
The only "problems" are that in the start of the battle engine sounds interfere with Duke (but only for a second or so) and tracks sounds are funny but overall I like a lot those engine sounds.
As for guns/hits sounds I can't accommodate with them. Maybe I'll try harder sometime...
LE: Also I saw a new version of sounds (hit/shot/engine). Uploaded here by me again.

topic updated - added new versions of hits and explosions and link to download engine sounds.
The engine sounds are...different
It takes some time to adjust to them, but after that its completely new level of experience.
And if you add these gun shots and explosions...WoT starts to be normal tank game, even with these starcraft french tanks.

Yes, but the sendspace link is not working (at least for me). I will update topic and secure downloads this evening.

Could some friendly soul please upload them to filefront or megaupload?
It seems that the sendspace link has been compromised. I will re-upload the files to different mirrors tonight.

Yes it does interfere with Duke, but it's a minor thing. Maybe NoblePlatoon can check this out.
Also I've tested the new version from you and the gun sounds are as far as I cant tell same as v.2.0 and engine sounds are like the old v.3.0 which was and is to loud and worse than v.2.0.
-------------
About the link to sendspace, yes it looks like the free account limit for downloads was reached, if the OP has them and he re-uploads them somewhere else fine by me. If you need me to re-upload them somewhere else just tell me and I'll do it when I have the time.

Yep, the engines are little bit strange - but it sounds like real tanks!
I will reupload it now.
