Hehe,

Iv got the AMX 13-90 today and i think I hate it.
What a waste of money and experience, It feels alot different than the AMX 13 75.
And the credit balance has dropped drastically.
I use to earn about 30-50k with the AMX 13-75 on victory and about 20-30k on defeat.
But with the AMX 13-90 it dropped to 20k if lucky on victory and 10-12k on defeat.
Really dont know whats the thing, maybe I'm playing it wrong or something?
It just doesnt feel like the rest of the AMX line.
The match maker is good, same as AMX 13-75, but I get almost always killed first the the AMX 90.
Really dont know whats the problem...

Any suggestions?
Maybe its because of the gun, or the painful 43 second reload time?

imho the 13-90 is a lot better than 13-75. Perhapse 13-90 is the most OP Tank thats in the game atm.

Its faster and has lot better gun than 13-75, what do you hate about that?

The stats of this game say it all...
It seems the AMX 13-90 is not made for me....
Gonna sell it

your ammo cost are 25% higher with the 90mm gun(damage/credit)
and your rep-cost are higher too(dont know how much)

and you do 200 damage/game less with the amx 13 90

normaly u should do more damage with the same playstyle
u need less shoots to do the same damage

dont reload after every fight

4 bullets in your gun are enough

Cmon, give it a try, if you liked 13 75, you'll love 13 90 once elited. And the lorraine is pure pwnage now, not mentioning Batmobile...

Get them fast, before they nerf them.

The two do play totally different.

At least for me with the 75 I stay back, hide, spot, and snipe.

With the 90 I get up front, deal some punishment, then get out. Reload, and find another stray to pick on.

Not really noticed that much difference in income.

Well,

It seems the AMX 13 90 has to be played as an American TD with turret.
I had one good round out of 10 and it proved to be very deadly at range.
But its worst enemy is the 43 second reload. I guess no more Call of Duty style magazine change.
I got used with the AMX 75 rushing on Lowes and T32s, now this is like a shock to change the playstyle.

Sometimes it is a good idea (and practice in many forums) to find a topic title with more content than what you present.
Moreover a little reading and browseing in this forum would have lead you to the following topic.

amen to that.

my stats with it aren't that bad ( about 850 average ep per match, 83% hit ratio ). however my win rate is only 44%. with amx 1375 i had over 70%.

the amx1390 seems to be the most team-depending tank due to its matchmaking and lack of armor. the amx 1375 had a better matchmaking.

however, if you know how to play the amx-1390 and have a good team on your side, its a hell of a fun to play it.

sadly, we lost this match but i still got 1500 exp for it ( with premium account )

must be noob night!!

i lost 6 times i a row, all without any chance...

without prmium very expensive...

1 i lost 15-0 no chance for even a kill.. mostly because of mm and the good ones are testing...

but 7 i won hey... but all cost to much tnx to poor teams. this tank depends too much on ur team

every time ur gun is hit etc. lost 20k trough all these games

lets keep it a bad day at the office...

altough we get 10 % when 7.2 starts..wow

personally the 13 75 is my favoured tank out of the 2, the reload time is low, the credit income is amazing and it has a good balance for the tier. the 90 is expensive to use sometimes can be very overpowering, i tend to pick TD's to pieces with it more than anything. and the reload time is painful by anyone standards, BUT the HP is amazing  for a light tank the speed is good and the gun is a nasty when used properly.

The AMX 13 90 requires more thought than the 75 due to the long reload. Do something wrong and you have a long time to wait before you can fix it.

So, you have to plan ahead when taking on a target:
-do you have enough rounds left in the magazine?
-can you retreat if something goes wrong in such a way that nobody will want to follow you to finish you off?
-if you reload, will the target still be viable after 40 seconds or is it better to move halfway across the map to spank the behind of some other tank?

Something quite a few AMX drivers seem to have a problem with is actually waiting a bit at the start of a match to see where the best chance for them is to actually do damage without being blown away by a massive crossfire of enemy shells. Just because you are fast does not mean you have to make first contact with the enemy.

Another 2 Orlik's Medals yesterday :)

I use my 90 with camo, bino and vents. usually when the map starts, i search for some nice bush where i can spot a few enemies while they move into position so that our arty has something to do (malinovka anyone?).
As the battle proceeds, i look for singled out enemies, which ask for a quick kill, or try to help out friendlies in distress, again while doing a quick kill or two (specially those t7 heavies die really fast).
Once i have done my damage, or meet to much resistance, its retreating time. also always reload my mag then, even if i got 2-3 shells left in it. then hit at some other place on the map where the enemy is not expecting you. rince. repeat.

i love my 90 so much. it is the perfect hit and run tank.

ok, there are also battles where you peak around a corner just to get blown up by 2 t9 tanks in a second, but they are actually quite rare.

I love the 90, the playstyle is just different from the 75
With the 75 you can take down many without much trouble, the matchmaking will be quite in your favor.
With 90 well, you can be with very high tier and your tactic should change. You can no longuer engage an ennemy frontaly or without surprise.

What i usually do when confronted with a very high tier situation is going forward, hide, wait for the right moment (when an ennemy tank is engaging some of the team and giving them trouble BUT he is alone. I take him from behind or sides and ask my team to push.

The only thing I can say about AMX 13 90 is shown on the image I am attaching, how the hell such tank's turret can be still functioning? the holes are from T110's 120mm cannon.
But as an unbalanced light tank, with health comparable to 3x heavier ISU-152, I can still happily stride through a rainbow valley.
Seriously, tank of car size can survive a BL-10 shot ???
