Reload in between shots i can handle, long canister reload i can handle....but that aim time, seriously wg?! I can understand that on sommething with armor, but not on a hit-and-run vehicle...

Still, even being crippled with all these nerfs it's still playable. Says something about the tank really.

My biggest problem with this tank is the match making. The 13 90 is a tier7 light, but most of the tanks you face are 8, 9 and 10 heavy tanks. Most of these can kill you in 1 shot and you will have almost 0 chance to penetrate them.

Yesterday i had enough money to get the 90mm gun.

And then i was hit by the loading time. Ok, 40s, that is what my arty needs to reload too. Harsh but i can deal with it.

Then my commander was shot. And the commander is also the loader, meaning no "jack of all trade" can save you from that pain. What pain you ask ?

Well, the pain from getting a 73s reload time.

Definately getting med kits on that one.

One other annoying thing about this tank is that it can't get into key positions fast right after game start if it involves a little skirmish. For example in Mines map, you rush to the hill, but after you've reached the top your ammo is still around 60-70% loaded, and you get your arse kicked by everyone up there, unable to return fire :(

Lol, I remember 1 round on Mines where there were 3 AMX 90s (2 from our team 1 from there's) on the hill, plus they had a T-43 that turned up. Basically the 3 90s got there first and we just danced around each other for a bit while reloading, then opened up the moment we finished. Slightly annoying that the T-43 turned up and in true WoT style, bounced and zero damage critted half the shots so we got raped.

Although it's kinda frustrating to play constantly against high tier tanks, I actually understand the reason behind that. I don't know how about you, but I would literally dominate T7 fights and there would be practically nothing to stop me. IS, Tiger, T-29, JP, T25, T20? There are no problem for me. And I can't even imagine amx platoons in T7 battles. It would end up 15:0 almost every game. Imho AMX 13 90 is probably the most op tank for its tier.

Each type of tank has it's own playstyle. With french folk you have to be carefull, there is no peeking with them, it's hit and run.
They are a bit difficult to play, but after let's say... 100 rounds, you'll get a great hang of it and pwn like crazy. You will provide crucial suppresion. Not to mention you can deal almost 1500 damage in 15 seconds xD

This vehicle is suppose to get into key lure (not key fight) positions and not at all on hill at Mines.
Even if you survive and stay on top of the hill, now what shoot down ?!

The best key positions utilise the LT charakter (spotting) of this vehicle.
Wait until the battle evolves and use your chances on the weakend, no matter what tier.

Fast aim? No need for that since you fight in close combat, hence the target will always fit into the aim circle.

The following crew skill setup will help you fight in close combat situations, since you turn and circle much better.
Spoiler

Always have an escape route on your agenda.

I'm shocked by the amount of negativity towards the 13-90, IMHO it is far better than the preceeding tanks. I'm running mine with vents + GLD + optics and the crew are all training camo as their first skill.

Excellent combination of spotting ability, mobility and firepower - I didn't get the chance to play it before it was nerfed, but I regard it as still being somewhat OP, certainly more powerful than any other tier 7 tank in good hands.

"Can" is a very awkward word when applied to this game. Yes, the 13 90 can inflict around 1400-1500 damage on average in 15 seconds (before reloading for the next 40). In reality you'll be lucky if even half your shots do damage.

With 100% crew and fully upgraded this is a awesome tank. You can do some serious damage on high tier tanks.
Fun to play Platoon with a friend.
Vents, rammer and EGLD, or Binocs.
Massive damage with 90 mm gun.

Best tank so far i have played :) I think you have to wait for your moment in battle, i mean look for lonely tanks specially heavy tanks ;) After 142 battles my average exp is 450 (without premium and i am not a good player). Only bad thing about this tank is repair cost.

This tank is so much fun! Just have to be patient and choose your battles carefully instead rushing like maniac. Fun times I've had B)

After playing over 200 battles with my lorraine i just bought the amx 90 back because its so much more joy to drive. Its fast and small and has an ok punch, not like the lorraine which is big like a truck and feels even slow with the 2nd largest motor and needs ages to reload...

I really use that with caution... but I'm about to call this vehicle massively op. It's tiny, buttassfast and the guns are really strong - even with the reload time. It can rip away most tVI-VII-tanks easily. Once you are a little damaged, it's high-pen-guns kill you in a second. Most times i see one in a match, it has multiple kills and most times I get killed, I don't even have a chance to defend myself. Imho, this tank needs some serious tweaking.
I like the concept of a fast "run and gun - guerilla"-tank, but this seems to be too much. It's like a hornet with a gatling-gun fighting sloths with muzzle-loaders...

Maybe armour up and penetration/damage and reload-time down?

Edit: Ok... had some more matches with it and I have to take back my first statement: That vehicle is definitely MASSIVELY OP... so far the most op tank I saw in this game.

Well, maybe you have missed the fact that AMX13-90 is matched against Tier 8 medium/heavy tanks. Tier 8's are ment to "rip away most tVI-VII-tanks easily".

Against Tier 8's it is not OP - most definitely not after the 7.2 "serious tweaking"! (watch the nerf-list here: http://forum.worldof...anks-72-update/)

The most funny tank i've driven so far, even more than T-50-2.
It's not OP anyway...
